I happened upon an old letter written by Captain Hinden. From what I can read, it looks like it has some vital information in it.

But it's deteriorated almost beyond repair. But I've heard of an archaeologist, Rubelik, who is a master at restoring documents.

Will you take this to him, Player, before it's too late?

Player: Accept.

Ahem...moving on. This is a letter from Captain Hinden addressed to Esnu...which means the story of the pirate and Seirun being in love is in fact true.

Deliciously fascinating, really. But why is an Archon so concerned about restoring this letter? Suspicious.

Player: "Why so?"

I thought your mission with this document was to find the Quartz Lens. And didn't you already find and install it?

So why is he so interested in this letter now? Maybe the Quartz Lens had nothing to do with his ultimate goal. I really don't think he should have this.

I trust you will handle this well, Player.

Player: "Thank you."

Player: "The letter."

(Reading) Hmm...scandalous. A Seiran named Aika and the pirate crew collaborated to find the Golden Trumpet Temple Key and loot its treasures.

The plan involved killing Esnu, so Captain Hinden stole the Quartz Lens and blocked the way to Alukina's Palace to protect her.

Player: "What happened to Esnu?"

I don't think Esnu knows about any of it.

I bet if we're the ones who show her that the Captain saved her life, she'd be willing to help us. With, say, getting the Golden Trumpet Temple Key.

Please, Player, take this to Esnu and see what effect this letter has on her.

Player: "OK, on my way..."

Who are you? I can't believe you're attempting to talk to me...

I've never met a trustworthy Asmodian, and I doubt you'll be the one to change my mind.

Player: :"Maybe this letter will."

A letter? Why do you think a LETTER would change my - (pause, reading) - they what?!

Oh, Captain...he did what? I can't...I can't believe it. I thought he'd stabbed me in the back, dirty as the rest of the lot!

And I was so insulting when you came. Is there any way I can make it up to you?

Player: "Well, I've heard about this Key..."

This is what you want? Alright. This letter changes so much of my past, so it seems a fitting reward.

But Aika must be brought to justice. Take care of Aika Deathsong, and I will take care of you.

Besides, you'll need Aika's key to open the gate. Mine doesn't work on its own.

Player: "I'll take care of it."

Finally, justice has been served.

Player: "The key."
