Description:
Talk to Ventus in Teminon Landing. Talk to Kunberunerk. Talk to Mapirerk. Talk to Kuenunerk. Talk to Kunberunerk. Drink the Balaur Language Potion. Talk to Kunberunerk. Talk to Ventus. Order: There's an important ability you must learn in order to carry out missions in the Abyss. See Ventus and hear about it in detail.
Summary:
Ventus said that the ability you need the most to carry out missions in the Abyss is speaking the Balaur language.

He said Kunberunerk has a potion that you can drink to learn the Balaur language quickly and told you to go and visit him.

You did what Kunberunerk asked you to do and learned the Balaur language by drinking the potion you obtained. When you returned to Reshanta, Ventus said he will call for you again when there is an important mission.

Full quest's text:
Daevas in Reshanta are carrying out all sorts of missions. It's only natural that you would need a variety of skills if you're to undertake an important mission.

And one particular ability is absolutely necessary.

It's not as important in Atreia, but will be of vital importance in the Abyss.

Player: What ability is this?"

It is the ability to understand and communicate in the language of the Balaur. As you'll encounter more Balaur than on Atreia, you must know the Balaur language if only to collect information.

There are also many ancient ruins in the Abyss. The Balaur language and ancient Atreia language share a number of similarities. Thus, a knowledge of the Balaur language is crucial to obtain information about the Balaur from those ancient ruins.

I hear that the shipyard manager Kunberunerk in Sanctum sells a potion that enables you to learn the Balaur language quickly. Obtain this potion from him and learn the Balaur language. I'll send you straight to Kunberunerk, so you don't waste any time.

Player: "I like learning languages."

Were you looking to buy a ship, nyerk nyerk?

The ships in our shipyard are a bit expensive, but they are the best in all of Atreia, nyerk.

But, you do have money, yes?

Player: "Do you have any Balaur Language Potion?"

Of course I have it. It'll cost you 20,000 Kinah.

You don't have enough money, nyerk? Don't you worry.

Do a job for me and I will give you the potion for free. It might be a bit difficult, though, nyerk.

Player: "Here's 20,000 Kinah."

Ah, the Daeva is a big spender, nyerk.

But pay me first before you drink it, nyerk.

Player: "Bottoms up."

Then, you must do what I ask of you. But you must keep it a secret, nyerk.

Bring me an Airship Design from Asmodae.

First, go to Mapirerk and obtain some information. The rest is up to the Daeva to find it, nyerk nyerk.

Player: "Which way to Mapirerk?"

Change your mind yet, nyerk?

No problem, no problem. Take your time.

You can either pay me the 20,000 Kinah or do the job I asked you to do.

Player: "Here's 20,000 Kinah."

You don't have enough Kinah!

You either bring me more money or do what I ask, nyerk.

So, answer me, nyerk. What do you want to do, nyerk?

Player: "I'll come back with the money."

So, why did you come to me, nyerk?

It's because of Gaphyrk, isn't it, nyerk?

What did he do this time, nyerk nyerk?

Player: "I'm looking for an Asmodian Airship Design."

Hmm, it won't help me later when I do business with Kunberunerk if I don't answer. But, you'd better tell Kunberunerk that I did a good job helping you, nyerk.

I don't know where it is, nyerk nyerk.

But, Kuenunerk in Reshanta might help you get it. He's a member of a grave robber band and there's nothing he can't get. I heard recently that he's staying on The Flinders, nyerk.

Player: "Thanks for the info."

Oh, and what does an Elyos Daeva want with me, nyerk?

Kuenunerk has done nothing wrong, nyerk.

Please don't kick me out of here, nyerk nyerk.

Player: "I'm looking for an Asmodian Airship Design."

So you need Asmodian Airship Design?

Will you not tell anyone that I am here if I give it to you, nyerk?

I had quite a time getting this from the Quairerk Traders when I was in Asmodae, nyerk.

Player: "Cross my heart and hope to die."

I was wondering when the Daeva would return, nyerk.

Did you do as I asked?

Player: "Here's what you asked for."

Oh oh, so you did bring it, nyerk.

Oooooh! This is Asmodae. With this I can now...

Here, take this. You can drink it right now, nyerk nyerk.

Player: "Looks delicious."

You should understand the Balaur language now, nyerk.

We can't confirm it since there aren't any Balaur around, but don't worry, nyerk.

I'll send you back to Ventus.

Player: "Thanks a lot."

I'll send you back to Ventus.

Player: "Thanks a lot."

Fantastic.

Since you can now speak the Balaur language, you've become a truly important asset to us, Player. I can imagine you talking circles around both the Balaur and the Asmodians.

I will be contacting you again when there is an important mission.
