Ah, hello. Did my friend have to "be elsewhere"? Yeah, I figured... so how much do you know about Bollvig?

He's responsible for the deaths of countless Humans and Daevas. He's been around for years and years... Nasty, feculent brute.

He makes his home on the upper side of Jeiaparan Village, along with a horde of undead minions, terrifying all of Heiron.

Player: "Why have we let him stay?"

Scores of Guardians and Daevas have gone to the Storm Circle over the years to finish him. None have returned. Never even resurrected at the Obelisk.

We suspect the fallen heroes are joining Bollvig's Undead army... it would explain why his numbers keep growing. If we don't stop him soon, Heiron may fall entirely under his power.

Player: "That can't happen!"

You're right, Player, it can't. But the Brigade General seems willing to let it... too many sacrifices made, he says. So we've stopped sending even our bravest.

But Anto, the Soul Healer of Jeiaparan Village, asked me to look into it--to send a Daeva to help. He said he can't sit by while such evil goes unopposed.

As you see, such a mission will take great courage. But I wonder if you're willing?

Arieluma, [%userclass]. Are you the Daeva Sulates sent? I've been waiting for you.

The people here are terrified, and while I understand the Brigade General's reluctance to send any more Daevas, it doesn't change the fact that people keep disappearing.

Though soulbound to the Obelisk here, none of the Daevas who've gone to kill Bollvig have returned. Since direct force clearly doesn't work, I've been trying to take a different approach.

Player: "What's your approach?"

Well... I can't shake the feeling that this has something to do with the secret of Bollvig's power.

So I sent a message to Jinus, my former master in Sanctum, to see if he had any ideas. He thinks he's found the answer.

Records from the Millennium War mention a weapon with the power to resurrect enemies at the Obelisk the user designates, rather than where they're soulbound. Jinus believes that Bollvig may have this weapon in his possession.

Player: "Nefarious creation... who would want--"

A vile, loathsome Asmodian--that's who. But I fear Bollvig's power doesn't end there. I could be wrong, but I suspect the Obelisk he uses turns Daevas into Undeads.

This would explain why his minions multiplied in direct correlation with the Daevas we sent to deal with him.

I'm almost afraid to ask, after giving you all these unsettling details... but Aion wouldn't have sent you if it were not for this task. Are you willing to go to The Storm Circle and get rid of the Cursed Obelisk?

And take some colleagues with you... that will be safer in many respects.

Player: "Have faith! I will go."

Player... you look... different. Were you... um... able to find and destroy the Cursed Obelisk?

Player: "It's a long story."

That's...incredible. Truly? You turned undead and then... returned? Aion clearly favors you, Player!

You know, I found myself wondering about how Bollvig came here in the first place... what would lure an Asmodian to take up residence on Elysea, anyway? Found out it was a beautiful Elyos woman named Myanee. Bollvig came through a rift and saw her. They fell in love at first sight.

Player: "Love? How appropriately tragic."

Indeed. Their plan was to hide away together here in Elysea, living in secret. But a Human saw them and reported their affair.

Many soldiers were mobilized, and in the chaos of it all it was Myanee who lost her life, not the Asmodian.

Powerful love brews powerful rage, when loss is involved... and instead of going back home, Bollvig stayed here, plans of revenge on Heiron and on Elysea his one last desire.

Player: "How awful."

It is, yes. And in our anger and fear, we blamed Myanee for bringing an Asmodian into the land of Elysea.

We dishonored not only Myanee but also her family by not giving her a proper burial. This... this is a transgression I feel compelled to amend.

I'd like you to burn incense in her name. Maximus will have the scent she favored. My duties won't let me attend to it myself, but I would be most grateful to you.
