[Coin/Group] Drana Gluttony
icon Quest
Type: Important
Category: Dark Poeta
Level: 48
Asmodian Only

Description:
Terminate Balaur Creations (8). Speak to Hresvelgr. More Drana from Dark Poeta is needed for Pandaemonium's research. Destroy the Balaur creations that use the most.
Summary:
Pandaemonium needed more Drana from Dark Poeta to study, and Hresvelgr asked you to destroy the Balaur creations that use up the most of her potential samples.

So you destroyed Marabatas, Spallers, and Generators. Hresvelgr thanked you, assuring you this will aid Pandaemonium's research.

Full quest's text:
I thought Pandaemonium was finished with me, but I suppose there's always more research to do.

It seems that there is a lot of Drana production in Balaurea, which in turn has increased interest in its effects on Dark Poeta.

Player: "Congratulations. What's it to me?"

Your work here has really only just begun.

I'm confronted with an interesting dilemma: We want more Drana energy produced so we can study it. Yet letting that happen also helps the Balaur.

Perhaps we can sever the connection between those two factors by killing the largest creatures and devices that harvest and use Drana. You understand now?

Player: Accept.

There are several major targets to chose from. The first are the Marabata of Strength, Marabata of Aether, and Marabata of Poisoning of Lake Maravata.

Then there are Spaller Echtra, Spaller Rakanatra, and Spaller Dhatra in the Drana Fields.

Finally, there are the Telepathy Controller, Main Power Generator, Auxiliary Power Generator, and Emergency Generator in Timolia Mine.

They are all dangerous, heavily guarded, or both. But they use most of the Drana in Dark Poeta, so their destruction would serve Hnoss's purpose...and that of Asmodae.

Player: "You mean, Munin? It's as good as done."

I take it you have the Drana samples.

And that Drana use in Dark Poeta been sufficiently diminished as well?

Player: "It has, very much so."

Good. Not only will this make more Drana available to Hnoss, it will also keep the Balaur from making things worse.

Or will it? Dark Poeta is a possible future, after all. Can we in its past affect what, to Dark Poeta, has already occurred?

Bah, it gives me a headache. Temporal logic is not my field. At any rate, please take this as your payment.
