A while ago somebody intentionally contaminated the underground water supply. A lot of the people here fell victim to it.

The deceased were not able to return into the Aether's Flow, so now their souls are left to wander the Hellpath eternally. They follow the orders of the evil Woodush and are attacking Sanctum.

The priests in Sanctum are trying to block off the Hellpath in order to stem the threat. They want to return the poisoned Daeva Souls to the flow of Aether and clear the path of Woodush's Vicious Energy, but they can't do it alone.
