Investigating the Fragments
icon Quest
Type: Important
Category: Vengar
Lv.: 999
Asmodian Only

Description:
Go to the Relic Site. Examine the Broken Relic[pl:"Relics"]. Examine the Destroyed Balaur Relic[pl:"Relics"] nearby. Find the Balaur Relic[pl:"Relics"]. Examine the Balaur Corpse. Share the news with Nixie. Meet Nixie, a researcher of ancient civilisations.
Summary:
You met Nixie, a researcher of ancient civilisations.

Nixie gave you a fragment from the ruins and asked you to find out which civilisation it belonged to.

You did as Nixie asked and found out that the fragment had something to do with Tiamat.

You told Nixie that you were attacked by the Beritra Army while you were investigating.

Nixie suspected that Beritra was also interested in the ruins. Nixie thanked you.

Full quest's text:
In ancient Atreia, there were many places that have since been forgotten.

Perhaps this region seems so mysterious to us because it's part of Atreia's ancient history.

Oh, what am I thinking! I shouldn't bore people that I don't even know with my explanations.

Please could you take a look at this?

When the new continent emerged from the floods, we thought it was just another battlefield on which we would fight the Beritra Army. But then we discovered something surprising.
Doesn't this Relic Fragment look interesting?

I get the feeling that I've seen something like this somewhere before. This on the top seems to be a very old seal, but sadly it's hard to identify.

I must know more about this relic... I need information!

If only the seal was recognisable, then we could at least figure out where it's from.

Please could you find similar relics with seals for me?
(The Broken Relic is badly damaged.)

(You've never seen a shape like this one. It appears to have been created by an ancient civilisation.)
(It looks similar, but it has a different shape.)

(You should check for more fragments nearby.)
(You found another Broken Relic nearby.)

(It also looks quite old.)

(It appears to come from the Balaur, but it's difficult to be certain because of the heavy damage.)
(It has a similar, but slightly different shape.)

(You should check for any undamaged fragments nearby.)
(This fragment is undamaged.)

(You can see a similar seal to the other fragments.)

(It appears to have been used recently.)
(You strike the top with all your might. Nothing happens.)

(It doesn't seem to work.)

(It's similar to the fragment that Nixie found, but it doesn't quite match.)
(The bottom of it seems damaged.)

(The fragment in your possession fits perfectly into the opening.)

(Now you can properly identify the seal.)

(The seal on the relic stands for Dragon Lord Tiamat.)

(You should look around more.)
(The Drakan corpse emits a pungent smell.)

(He is wearing the uniform of a soldier of Tiamat's Legion.)
(The battle scars are not very old, but the body is already rotting.)

(The corpse is wearing a Tiamat army uniform, so it seems to have some connection with the fragment.)

(You should go back to Nixie and tell her what you found.)
You were attacked by the Beritra Army while investigating the ruins? Are you hurt?

So the seal on the Relic Fragment is Tiamat's symbol?

And then you also have the body of a Tiamat Legion soldier found near the ruins...

Clearly there's a link between Tiamat and Vengar.

Beritra appears to be interested in Tiamat's Ruins too.

Thanks to you, I'm a step further in my research.

Thank you very much!
