Essay of the Black Cloud Traders 3

- Episode: A Wife's Revenge -

This essay is a compilation of success and failure stories about trades and transactions to give our traders a lesson to learn for their future business.

Traders are encouraged to take this lesson contained in this essay to heart and strive for cutting a deal on a successful note.

I, Javirunerk, discovered that tree in the Red Wasteland of Theobomos.

Unlike other trees that only had twigs, that tree had leaves.

But what caught my eye was a glittering necklace that was dangling on the top of the tree.

The tree was too high to get it down. So I went out of my way and used every method I could come up with. Finally, I got the necklace from that tree.

That necklace was indescribably beautiful, but an even more surprising thing happened later.

That tree with the necklace turned into a female Daeva!

The female Daeva seemed lost at first. But once she snapped into reality, she started to weep.

All I wanted was to take that necklace, but that tree turned into a Daeva unexpectedly. I didn't know what to do.

I was afraid she might ask me to give the necklace back. So I put it in my pocket and started to calm her down.

I didn't run away and stayed there probably because I was also curious to know what turned that Daeva into a tree.

I also expected that I might be in for another chance to make some money.

That Daeva's name was Medina.

She was born from a father with wealth and authority and ascended as a Daeva, knowing no difficulties in life.

Even after being ascended as a Daeva, the only thing she did was graduate from the Tempere. Whenever she finds time, she would go to Sanctum and shop.

One day, she happened to meet a handsome, young, and ambitious Daeva named Asor. She went head over heels for him immediately. So she soon married the guy despite her father's opposition.

Later, Medina found out Asor approached her purposefully.

After marrying Medina, Asor enjoyed a lot of success. As an administration officer, he never went to a remote or dangerous place. He only worked in important places such as fortresses or Sanctum.

At first, Asor treated Medina like a fragile gem. But as time went by, his attitude became colder. This made Medina more obsessed with Asor.

One day, Asor suggested Medina to go on a trip together.

She found it odd to go on a trip to barren Theobomos, but he said he's also planning to meet the administrator he looked up to. She agreed to go.

Asor took Medina to Red Wasteland, saying he can meet that administrator there and the area has mysterious relics, too.

She still found it weird thinking what scenery would be there in that barren place, but Medina was more impressed by Asor trying to do something for her.

In the middle of the wasteland, Asor kneeled down without warning and handed over a box to her.

He apologized for being so cold to her, saying he didn't want people to say he succeeded because of his wife. He also promised to be nice to her again.

That box contained a beautiful necklace. Medina wore the necklace happily. And then, she passed out.

Asor actually took Medina to Theobomos to get rid of her.

Medina shook from uncontrollable rage and asked me, Javirunerk, to help her with her revenge. If I did help her, she said she'll take back Asor's properties and give half to me.

My instincts told me this was a once in a lifetime chance to make a fortune.

First, I took Medina to Sanctum and changed her look.

I also filled her in on where and what Asor did through the information I got from the Traders.

I also informed her about Asor and his false rumor. He was telling others that Medina fell for a stranger and joined the Lephar Revolutionaries.

After listening to everything I said, Medina was grinding her teeth. She said she could never forgive Asor who deceived and betrayed her.

Medina said she'd like her revenge to start right now. So I drew up a contract describing the commission fee over the job I was about to be assigned to do.

Medina approached Asor and lured him. Asor had already married another woman but was growing tired of her.

To Medina who understood exactly what Asor is like, luring him was a piece of cake.

She kept playing hard to get and eventually made Asor plead with her to marry him.

So Medina said she'd marry him right away only if his wife is gone. And Asor said he took his ex-wife to a barren place and turned her into a tree before. He said he'll do it again.

But Medina already had his current wife, Medina's father, and other acquaintances of Asor hiding in the next room.

Asor was punished and became Scolopen while Medina retrieved all of her properties.

I made a profit through the process. Information about Asor, smooth execution of plans to help her encounter with Asor, and making contact with Asor's wife and his acquaintances was all part of it.

As promised, I received half of Medina's retrieved properties. Other than that, I cut a supply deal with Medina for luxury items. She is one of my solid sources of revenue.

If I ran away when she was turned into a Daeva, I couldn't have achieved it all if I only cared about the necklace.

If you consider yourself an excellent trader, you need to follow your instincts to make a fortune. One more thing. I kept the necklace that cast a curse on Medina and sold it for a lot of money to someone who could use it.
