The fragments falling from the fortress are getting seriously out of hand. I'm glad Pandaemonium has dispatched someone familiar with construction to have a look at it.

Hopefully no one gets brained while we're waiting.... I wonder why the fortress has started collapsing again.

Beluslan was all set to collapse back during the Cataclysm, but some heroic Daevas managed to stop time to keep it in one piece. I don't know what could have set it off again.

Player: "That seems strange."

Well, we have no idea how long it'll take to get resolved. In the meantime, I worry about the locals here.

Ordinarily, part of my inspection is going out and checking on the residents, but I receive an urgent summons from the brigade general.

Would you mind checking on the situation for me?

Player: "I can do that."

Oh, good--thank you so much. I was pretty stressed about figuring out how to find time in my schedule for it! Well, first, check in with Nornen and ask how many fragments have fallen today. He's a sentry and makes the rounds of the fortress every day, so his count is likely to be the most exact.

Then head over to see Regin. He's lived locally here forever, so I think he'd be a good gauge of whether or not the residents are uneasy with all the falling fragments.

Then it's just Bestla, the worker from Pandaemonium! I'd like to know if an inspection reveals any further information.

Player: Accept

The centurion sent you, right?

Well, I'm pleased to report that today has been pretty peaceful! No falling fragments!

... Yet.

Player: "That's good news."

To be perfectly frank, I don't get all the people shuttering their windows and cowering in their homes.

I'm not gonna let some busted-up old pieces of architecture drive me from my town! It's not like they're raining down all the time or anything.

Besides, that fancy construction specialist from the capitol is here. If they can't fix it, who can? You can tell your friend that I'm not worried about some moldy bits of mortar.

Player: "I'm glad."

That poor centurion. So nervous! Always checking in--but my answer is always the same.

Nothing new to report.

That might change soon enough, though--I'm investigating the power that was used to hold the fortress together in the first place, rather than the fortress itself.

Player: "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Well, even if we still haven't found a cause for the collapse, we've GOT to stop it from getting worse in the meantime.

All we can do is seal the cracks. Of course, there is... one, not insignificant problem with that.

We are fresh out of glue.

Player: "... Where do you get glue from?"

I sure am glad you asked! We've been using something of a short-hand solution.... HAH, get it? Solution?

... Nevermind. Anyway, there are Blue Jaw Monitors nearby, and their saliva is especially viscous. Once it dries, it hardens and sticks even better than most ordinary glue!

If you can go track down the Blue Jaw Monitors on the hill in front of the fortress, collect some Sticky Saliva from them and bring it here. That just might be enough to stop the fortress from collapsing! Well. For now!

Player: "On it."

I sure hope I can figure out what's causing this collapse....

Sealing the cracks is a band-aid fix, at best, but it's better than nothing.

Did you get ahold of any Sticky Saliva?

Player: "Here you go."

I'll ask the Archons to help me seal up these cracks as soon as possible.

Player: "I hope it helps!"

No fragments today? That's a relief....
