Right before the Cataclysm, Animus, the one to whom it was gifted, betrayed Aion and was cursed to never walk in the light again.

He became an undead, roaming Anima's Haunt to this day. I cannot imagine Animus returning it after such a betrayal.

If Animus has hidden the important and cherished treasure, he would’ve hidden it somewhere in that region.

Leave for Anima's Secret Habitat right away and search for Anima's Treasure. You might be able to find the Tears of Life in there.
