Description:
Talk with Sarantus. Talk with Ibelia. Find the Engraved Stone Tablet in Vaizel's Peak. Take the engraving to Ibelia. Talk with Sarantus. Talk with Ipikio. Talk with Calon. Find the Stone Plate from Ruins of Roah and bring it to Calon. PlayerReport to Sarantus. Order: Talk to Sarantus to receive a mission involving the ruins of Heironopolis.
Summary:
Sarantus ordered you to help Ibelia with her archaeological expedition. You found an old picture of a city she was interested in, then she sent you all over the place trying to find out more about it.

In the end, you had to go to the Ruins of Roah in Reshanta and get some other old piece of stone to send back to her.

Full quest's text:
Even if the Balaur are invading and undead are ravaging the land, we shouldn't only worry about military matters.

Even the most mundane studies might have martial applications.

Player: "Such as?"

Archaeology, for one. We fought the Balaur thousands of years ago and we'd gotten quite good at it.

So much knowledge was lost in the Cataclysm...we're only now reclaiming it.

Player: "Ancient strategies, eh?"

I apologize if this mission seems rather boring to a Daeva of action like yourself, but it could be important.

You're to talk to Ibelia in the Destroyed Guard Tower and help her out with her research.

Faith and arms...and try to take this assignment seriously, got it?

Player: "Got it. Faith and arms."

Player...why does that sound familiar...oh, you're the mercenary who ascended.

I'd rather have someone a little more intellectually-minded for this job, but I suppose you'll do.

Player: "What do you need?"

We're studying the ancient ruins of Heironopolis. It was once the center of ancient Atreian civilization.

Are you yawning?

Player: "What? Uhm No. Just stretching."

We've uncovered something you might be interested in actually--some carvings about the Balaur.

Could be we've uncovered some trove of ancient tactical knowledge. You know, stuff you'd like.

Why don't you check out that Engraved Stone Tablet and bring it back to me, let me know if it's anything interesting.

Player: "I'll tackle that now."

(The engravings depict a walled city on a plain.)

(There doesn't seem to be anything about the Balaur, but Ibelia might be interested in it anyway.)

Player: "Not a weapon but not bad either."

Was there anything interesting?

Player: "I found these."

Be more careful! Those are fragile!

Hmm...this isn't a picture of Heironopolis. So what could it be?

Player: "Blast if I know."

I suppose I'd better ask an expert. Why don't you go talk to Sarantus and see if he knows anyone?

Player: "Sure. Why not?"

You need something from me?

Player: "Ibelia sent me to ask you..."

I met a scholar once at the tavern in Sanctum. Smart guy, heavy drinker.

He said he was an expert on ancient cities, so I suppose that makes him the man to talk to.

His name's Ipikio. He said he worked in the secret library. Did you talk to him?

Player: "I'm about to."

Hmmm...yes. Something I can help you with?

Player: "It's about this ancient city...."

A tablet depicting an unknown city? More than likely the Ruins of Roah.

Player: "What's that?"

It's an ancient, pre-Cataclysm city--one of the most militarily advanced city-states of its age.

Legend says it was sucked straight into the Abyss. And we always thought it was just that--a legend--until we found it in Reshanta.

You've seen the engraving--head to the Ruins of Roah and find out if that's the city depicted. Calon should be able to help you.

Player: "I'll leave right away."

Welcome to the Abyss, Daeva. What's your business here?

Player: "I'm looking for some ruins."

The Ruins of Roah are in the upper part of Reshanta. That might be what you're looking for.

If we're occupying the fortress, it's no trouble to get there--just talk to Tellus.

If not, first you'll have to go to the Western Shard of Latesran and talk to the teleporter there to get to the upper layer, then fly...cautiously...over to the Ruins.

Player: "Faith and arms."

Did you find anything out?

Player: "I found this tablet."

Excellent. I'll have this shipped to Heiron personally. Sanctum hates it when careless Daevas break fragile artifacts in transit.

Sarantus's probably expecting you.

Anyway, thank you. I'm sure you're glad to have this out of your hands.

Player: "Yes, thanks."

That should keep her happy. The busier she is researching, the fewer frivolous requests she bothers Daevas for.
