Summary:
The Aether Generator in the Krug Basin Test Site stopped unexpectedly. Your investigation revealed that Taloc's Guardian might be responsible.

You entered Taloc and ate of a fruit that transformed you into a Guardian General.

When you defeated Celestius and absorbed the Aether inside Taloc, the flow of energy normalized and the generator started working again.

You reported all this to Valetta, who told you that what you experienced came not from Taloc Fruit, but from the power inside of you.

Full quest's text:
Player! Thank Azphel you're here.

The Artificial Aether Generation Device at Krug Basin has stopped, and we need you to go there immediately to find out why. Time is of the essence.

I already sent Angrad, the most reliable of my Legionaries, to check on the matter, but I promised him that help would soon follow. He can't do it alone!

Player: "Why is this generator so important?"

As you know, there is very little Aether in Gelkmaros. The generators we've installed don't produce a lot of Aether, but it's enough to help Daeva use their abilities inside the Aetheric Field.

The crystal at the Krug Basin Test Site downstream of the Gelkmaros Falls plays a key role in transmitting artificial Aether to Lumiel's Quartz in the Gelkmaros Fortress. It's the most important generator in Gelkmaros.

It is no exaggeration to say that the outcome of the war depends on the amount of Aether we can secure. If nothing changes, the amount of Aether will drop...and we will have to withdraw in shame. Hurry to Angrad if you want to help.

Player: "The task is mine!"

Player! The Brigade General promised help, but I had no idea it would be you. I can think of no one better suited to the task.

I haven't made much progress on a solution, frankly. The Aetheric Field Generators work perfectly in other areas--there's no reason it should be malfunctioning here. I will keep at it, but in the meantime, there's something you can help me with.

I recently asked Eddas, a Reian tribe elder in this campsite, for help. He is known to be familiar with both Aether and Drana, but he claimed he could not help. I know he's hiding something....

Player: "I will get some answers."

Say nothing. I know why you are here. I have lived in Gelkmaros for hundreds of years, and I am no fool.

Truth be told, I know exactly what is going on here, just by looking at the flow of energy in the air. Regardless, I have nothing to say. I cannot help you.

Player: "Cannot, or will not?"

Wise Daeva. The reason I have lived in harmony with the other races for so long is that I have not meddled in their affairs. Yet perhaps, for you....

I have heard you are a friend of the Elim. And so, as this particular problem is related to their plight, I will share with you one thing: the problem with your generators is merely a forerunner of future disaster. Something terrible is happening inside Taloc.

I will say no more, but perhaps Taloc's Guardian will help you, if you are truly a friend of the Elim, and not just a pretender.

Player: "I will speak with him."

Incomprehensible distortion.... Many things wrong in Taloc. Many things Aetheric...unnatural...your Aether generators...you....

To correct the Aether...must enter Taloc.... But can I trust you...suspicious Daeva from another world...?

Prove you are friends...with the Elim....

Player: "I have helped the Elim before."

Not a friend of the Elim...no...not to me....

Prove your worth...your trust...and I will help you....

Eliminate Sticky Sludger...and Whirling Seafoam that gnaw at the Elim...

Player: "I will earn your trust."

You have fought for Elim...and I will help you now. Receive these gifts...the fruit and tears of Taloc.

Eat of the Taloc Fruit...to become your best...and use Taloc's Tears...to bring purity...in time of danger....

I will send you to Taloc now...if you are ready....

Player: "I am ready."

No...your abilities cannot be...unleashed inside Taloc's Hollow.

Too much power...too much...risk. Perhaps others...with less destructive...potential.

Player: "I see..."

I don't want help. Not from many people....

You must...come alone if you are determined to go inside Taloc's Hollow....

Player: "I understand."

I saw your power...miraculous...all inside you....

Who...are...you...?

All is well now...go tell the other...Denskel...everything is back in its place....

Player: "Time to get back to where I belong."

Player! The Aether generator is working again. I heard you went into Taloc, but I entertained little hope...and I never expected the generator would come back online so quickly.

But we can't rest on our laurels--there is much more to do. You must visit Vellun, the Chairman of the Pandaemonium Research Center, and see if the artificial Aether is being transmitted normally to Lumiel's Quartz over Gelkmaros.

He has claimed we might withdraw from Gelkmaros if the supply of artificial Aether remains unstable. Perhaps this will change his mind.

Player: "Blood for blood."

Azphelumbra, Player. Yes, I know why you are here. Word gets around.

Yes, I can confirm that Lumiel's Crystal is receiving adequate Aether now. I don't know how exactly you fixed the aetheric Field Generator, but I suppose it's enough that you did. It's working...for now.

It seems my comment about withdrawing from Gelkmaros may have been a bit...premature. I know it made the Legionaries anxious, but I thought it true at the time. It looks like we are stu...like we can stay here a bit longer.

Away with you now--Valetta wants you to report in immediately.

Player: "You don't seem very happy...."

Those distorted spaces inside Taloc were no doubt created during the Cataclysm. I can imagine how it happened.... Creatures absorbing energy from fragments of the Tower of Eternity, contaminated Aether...no wonder Taloc's Guardian came to this. And no wonder its energy disrupted the Aetheric Field Generator.

There's still one question, though--about you. Most of those who eat Taloc Fruit have serious side effects. But you...you were transformed into a Guardian General?

I think the power that the Taloc Fruit gave you comes not from an external source, but from within you. You have a potential as powerful as that of Guardian General! I am in awe.

Please, promise that you will only use such power for the benefit of Asmodae....
