Type: Quest
Category: Katalam
Lv.: 60
Elyos Only

Description:
Talk with Tribunus Pippus. Talk with Chief Priest Pantager. Talk with Borneo. Report back to Tirins. Talk with Pippus, Pantager, and Borneo to learn about the current situation in Katalam.
Summary:
Governor Tirins told you to learn about the current situation from Pippus and Pantager, as well as pay your respects to High Priest Borneo.

After talking to Tribunus Pippus and Chief Priest Pantager, you learned that the Elyos plan to conquer all of Katalam, and that Kaisinel's Beacon will be the bridgehead for conquering Katalam.

High Priest Borneo said he believes your survival was a gift from the Empyrean Lords that you should repay.

Full quest's text:
I hoped we'd lost you to that coma. You would make a good martyr.

It's been chaos here since the Beritra Legion attacked, and the disappearance of Kahrun's Will only made it worse.

Player: "What about the Asmodians?"

Those shade-cursed Asmodians... They broke the alliance and attacked us. We were waiting for you when they came. Did you hope to distract us?

I realize now that it was a mistake to ally with them--but it's a mistake we won't repeat.

Are you sure you're feeling better? Not even a headache after all that time unconscious?

Player: "I'm fine."

Hmph. Maybe Tribunus Pippus and Chief Priest Pantager will know what to do with you, hale and whole.

They'll bring you up to speed on our current situation.

While you're at it, pay your respects to High Priest Borneo as well.

Player: Accept.

Good. The sooner you get a sense of the situation here, the more time you'll have to adapt.

Player: "I'll go talk to them."

Player... I know it's been some time since you were knocked unconscious.

I'll only debrief you on the important matters for now.

Player: "Such as?"

The military has been extremely active ever since our deployment here.

Our goal is to deny the Asmodians control of the region by holding several strategic locations. Kaisinel's Beacon is our bridgehead.

It hasn't been going as well as I'd hoped, partly thanks to Chief Priest Pantager delegating pointless tasks to the military, but I expect we will triumph soon.

Player: "I hope your optimism proves true."

I don't know what Pippus told you, but the only person here you need to listen to is me.

I am the one who will lead the blessed Elyos to victory.

You would do well to remember that, Player.

Player: "If you say so."

As befits my status and ability, I oversee many of our operations.

What worries me is the military's failure to carry out even simple tasks.

I'd hoped they wouldn't ruin such a vital event in my career as this invasion, but I guess you can't expect much from people of such low backgrounds.

Player: "Perhaps."

Many Daevas would not have awoken from your injuries, Player. The Empyrean Lords have truly blessed you.

I hope you acknowledge their gift by continuing to serve the Elyos as faithfully as you have in the past.

Player: "I will make Elysea proud."

You talked with Pippus and Pantager then?

I hope you also paid your respects to High Priest Borneo.

They're the key figures in the Guardian Detachment, so it's wise to get acquainted with them.

Player: "Yes, I talked with all of them."

I know it looks like Pippus and Patanger are bitter rivals.

But trust me when I say they're united in their goal of conquering Katalam.
