In Katalam, each enemy force occupying a base is led by a Combat Commissioned Officer and a Combat Commander. The key to capturing a base is to first scout it out, then eliminate the leaders.

Once they are dead, the remaining enemy troops will withdraw.

Player: "Anything else I should know?"

Good question. Glad you're paying attention. Capturing a base doesn't mean the battle is over.

You should be wary of assassins sent to kill the base's key officers, just as you did to theirs. Enemies will be constantly seeking opportunities to retake the base.
