I don't pretend to understand their ceremony, but I do know it centers around the Ophidan Vessels.

If you destroy those jars, Player, the Dragonbound ritual will fail.

Player: Accept.

This is the sort of thing that happens without the love and guidance of the Seraphim Lords.

Even the Asmodians know not to trifle with such empty pursuits.

Really, disrupting the Dragonbound ritual is a kindness to them.

Player: "Didn't seem like I was helping them..."

Does it matter, in the end? Since we have destroyed all of their jars, they cannot perform the summoning ceremony.
