Type: Quest
Category: Beritra's Grand Invasion
Level: 999
Elyos Only

Description:
Investigate the Damaged Power Generator in the Sleeping Elders Plateau and obtain a Preserved Circuit. Investigate the Inoperable Power Generator in the Sleeping Elders Plateau and obtain a Conserved Circuit. Go to Sleeping Elders Plateau and report your findings to Faitos. Talk with the other witness, Mercutio.
Summary:
Mercutio told you that sensors and detectors will not help your find out the time or location of Beritra's invasions, but he mentioned another way.

The devices that appeared with the weapon left behind debris. Mercutio advised you to find the clues among the debris.

Following his advice, you examined the Invasion Power Generators left behind by Beritra's forces and managed to obtain parts that looked like circuits.

You reported your findings. The circuits seemed to be designated circuits from devices that are identical to the Invasion Power Generators discovered in Kaldor and Levinshor.

Full quest's text:
It seems like these weapons have a set recall limit on them, perhaps based on time or distance.

That might be why the Infiltration Sensor and the Infiltration Detector don't respond to it. I doubt we could ever use those devices to learn about the locations or times of the Beritra invasion. There may be another way.

Debris was left over after the weapon disappeared from where I saw it. It looked like debris from the other devices that appeared with the weapon. Go to the Sleeping Elders Plateau. I'm certain that you'll find debris that we could analyze.

Player: Accept.

(It is a critically damaged Beritra army power generator.)

(There is a faint trace of Ide energy emanating from the device.)

(A closer inspection reveals a shielded case containing an operational record storage circuit.)

Player: "I better take this back."

It's been a while, Player. I have heard from Tribunus Pepe. You're carrying out an assessment of the Beritra army, aren't you?

I fear the more time this assessment takes the more open we are to an invasive strike. Without warning, we could be looking at an unwinnable battle.

Is it true that our current sensors are inadequate for predicting such an attack?

Player: "Let me bring you up to speed."

I can't believe you were able to find these. Look at the complex Balaur inscription of various times and coordinates on the circuit's surface. In fact, the coordinates recorded in the Preserved Circuit and Conserved Circuit are all different.

Beritra has been busy. With something this advanced, they might even be able to launch an invasion breaching multiple locations at once. You couldn't have come to me soon enough.

If we can work out their system, we should be able to predict where they will strike, and when. Listen, while you've been away reports of similar occurrences have started flooding in from Levinshor. Quickly now, go to Levinshor and tell them what we've found.
