Description:
Go to Path of Serenity and talk to Financie. Find Tempest Shipyard Longshoreman Basmos in Sanctum and give him Financie's chest. Destroy the Gentle Ribbits. (1) Talk with Basmos. Report back to Bastiel at the Redemption Landing. Soothe the pain of the weeping Daeva soul in the Bastion of Souls.
Summary:
Financie was sacrificed to the roots of the Incarna. She could not return into the flow of the Aether until she was assured that her fiancé Basmos would not wait for her forever.

You gave Basmos a box from her at her request, and passed on her wishes. Oddly, the box contained Basmos's worst fear, which was apparently his fiancée's way of telling him to laugh more and to think of her fondly.

You told Bastiel of their story and he said you need to get rid of all the Balaur and rescue any Daevas you can. Only then do you have any chance of providing those who are grief-stricken with closure.

Full quest's text:
Please.... Please, Daeva, help me.... I can't... I can't take it anymore.

This place... I can't leave. I have to...

I can't....

Player: Accept

Thank you... Thank you.

My fiancé is waiting for me in Sanctum. He works as a longshoreman at the Tempest Shipyard. He's a sweet, honest man.

I suppose ours was always a star-crossed love story.... I ascended to become a Daeva. He... did not. But he proposed anyway. I said yes. Even just a few decades together would be worth it, I knew....

Player: "What's keeping you from returning to the Aether?"

I just... can't bear to think of him waiting for me. We always knew there was a chance that I'd meet my end with a Balaur sword one day. It's just... part of being a Daeva. You understand. But not like this....

I swore to him that I would come home after this mission. If it weren't for these cursed roots.... I know how he is, though. I promised, so he'll keep waiting for the rest of his life. Heh... He's stubborn that way.

Take this box. Please. It's... full of gifts he gave me when we got engaged. Maybe then he'll believe you. I know it's... a difficult task. Say you'll help?

Player: "Of course."

Thank you.... Look for Basmos at the Sanctum Tempest Shipyard. He's a longshoreman there.

Just... don't open the box, all right? No matter what you hear from inside of it. These are deeply sentimental things. Only Basmos should open it.

Tell him I love him.

Player: "Rest in Ariel's grace."

I can't.... I'll roam here forever.

I HATE her....

Player: (Walk away.)

Well met, Daeva! You seem well-traveled. You didn't happen to hear of my fiancée on your missions, did you? Her name is Financie.

I haven't seen her since she went to fight Balaur from the Dredgion invasion.... I know sometimes she's called away with the other Daevas, but...

I've hardly been able to sleep.

Player: "She gave me this to give to you...."

But... but that's the box I gave to her when I proposed. ... Why do you have it?

Please... is she all right?

Player: "I'm so sorry...."

(Basmos hangs his head. Slowly, he opens the box.)

(As soon as the lid cracks, three Ribbits come leaping out. Startled, Bosmos hurls the box away.)

AGH! Ribbits?! I HATE Ribbits! They're so... squishy and hoppy! HELP!

Player: "... What?"

Seriously, Ribbits are terrifying. Why did you--?

It wasn't you...?

... Well. Financie always was a bit of a prankster. Said I should laugh more.

Player: "I... guess that makes sense. At least she's moved on now."

Well. I'm glad for that, at least.

A cruel twist of fate. She had eternal life--but here I am, while she's the one who returned to Aion's embrace.

Thank you for carrying out her final wishes, Daeva. Even if they were a bit... unconventional.

Player: "Walk in the light."

Heh, I guess so. Knowing her, it's her own quirky way of encouraging me to face my fears with her last message.

Well, thank you for carrying out her final wishes, Daeva. And, uh... for taking care of those Ribbits. Ugh... don't you think they move like monsters?

Anyway.... Good luck out there. Stay safe, and value the time you have, my friend.

Player: "Walk in the light."

A sad story, even if it does have an odd ending. Such tales will only become more frequent as we carry on this war, my friend.

We have to get rid of these cursed Balaur and rescue whoever we can. Only then can we help those left grieving, grant them any closure....

That is the least we can do. Get some rest, Player. We've much to do.
