For a thousand years, Iluma has been trapped inside an Aetheric Field that has slowed time to nearly a standstill. This means that the ecology you are looking at is much closer to Atreia's original environment than after the Tower exploded.

Another major distinction is the Aether-infusing effect of the Tower itself. Aetheric levels are much higher here than in any other part of Atreia, and it shows in the wildlife.

For instance, there is a primitive form of Odella here in Iluma that also feeds off of Aether. I am curious as to how it compares with its modern descendent.

Primitive Odella grows naturally all over Iluma, particularily near open streams. I imagine it's much more potent than modern Odella because of the strength of the Aetheric Field here.

If you happen to come across a decent specimen of this Primitive Odella while scouting the Polten Marsh, could you bring it to me?
