We received a recent scouting report about suspicious activity among the enemy.

According to the report, the Dragonbound have been abducting Reian tribe members.

Player: "Is this... a bloody cloth?"

Yes, we found it at the site of the abductions, but there appears to be a code on the cloth we can't decipher.

Please take it to Ortiz. He is a Reian survivor who was the first person to inform us about the kidnappings. See if he can tell you anything about this cloth.


Player: "I hope it doesn't bring up too many awful memories for him."

A code written in blood! This is one of the codes we Reians use to let our fellow tribe members know that we're in serious trouble. I thought... I didn't know there were more of them captured, or I would have done something....!

This code speaks of domination.... Do you know how the dragon worshipers dominate people? They plant strange seeds inside them.... After some time, Beritra's curse erases their memories...their very sense of self...! Eventually, they become mindless followers of the Balaur....

But it's not impossible to reverse the brainwashing... there is a way.


Player: "How?"

Some time ago, a Daeva gave this to me. You might find it hard to believe, but this Scepter of Purification can remove the brainwashing. It is a symbol of hope for us. Please... be careful with it.

If you hurry, you might be able to use it to save some of my fellow Reians. You will see a Destroyed Gargoyle at the building in Subterranea. There's a Teleport Statue that links to the Udas Temple. Go into the temple and save the abducted Reians with the Scepter!

You should look for them in a place called the Rebirthing Chamber. And if possible, please get rid of Kura Stormgaze. She is one of the ones in charge of brainwashing the abductees....

Player: "It is an honor to hold something so dear to your people."

(It is a stone statue of only a torso.)

(A code similar to that on the bloodstained cloth is drawn on the bottom of the statue.)
