Player, I have news you may be interested in.

The ruined tablets you discovered seem to have functioned as a kind of Aetheric Field.

We're still investigating, but we have some important theories.

Player: "Go on."

There's something in those ruins that Tiamat wanted to keep locked away. The questions are--what is it, and was the Dragon Lord trying to seal it in, or keep others out?

If Tiamat was trying to seal something away, could it have been something the Dragon Lord considered a threat?

We have to get closer to the stones before we can find out more, but some of the stones are being protected by Drakan. Go see Captain Egzen, she'll tell you more.

Player: "I'm on my way!"

I recognize you, Player! Nice to formally meet you.

I was told you were helping out in this area... What can I do for you?

Player: "Engrid told me about the Aetheric Field."

Tiamat's Aetheric Field Stones, right...

We recently found a bunch of those same stones, but most of them were destroyed.

If what Engrid said is true, there should be a lot more of them.

Player: "Engrid mentioned Drakan?"

I was actually going to ask for your help with them.

The Drakan in this area used to move in a very specific way, never deviating from a set pattern--as though they were on patrol. But lately, their movements have been very erratic. Something seems to have stirred them up.

If the Drakan in this area are indeed Tiamat's underlings set to protect the stones, perhaps you'll find more information on their corpses. While you're doing that, we'll search for any Aetheric Field Stones that are still intact.

Player: "I'm on it."

Did you find anything helpful on the Drakan?

If not, you'd better hurry. The Beritra troops nearby have been showing signs of movement, as well.

Player: "I found this token."

You found this on one of the Drakan? It looks like a key. I wonder if this somehow controls the Aetheric Field Stones.

Fortunately, one of the Expedition members located another one of them, intact, not far from here. It's in the Aetheric Field Site--why don't you head over there first and check it out?

We'll follow as soon as the other watchers return from scouting.

I see... This all leads me to a horrifying conclusion.

I think Tiamat sealed something powerful away in those ruins, and Beritra is trying to get it.

We need to figure out what's in there, and fast.
