Summary:
When you went to see Governor Vidar at his request, he told you that there was intelligence of the Beritra Army conspiring with the Mau to bring into Atreia a powerful weapon that can destroy all of Asmodae. He then ordered you to find where exactly the Hyperion will be brought in.

From Rita and Munin, you learned that the Abyss Gates in Ishalgen, Altgard, and Morheim must be investigated. You detected each for Ide, and discovered that the Abyss Gate in Morheim had been activated, and Aetheric Field Protector Tyr in Morheim urged you to foil the enemy's plot.

When you vanquished Captain Hagarkan of the Baranath Legion and switched off the device he was guarding, Hyperion turned back and returned to Balaurea.

After completing the mission, you went to report the result to Vidar. He said the presence of a powerful weapon like Hyperion in Atreia would have had disastrous consequences and praised your efforts.

Full quest's text:
Player, I've summoned you because there is an urgent problem at hand.

The legions in Ishalgen and Morheim have suppressed the Mau regularly to keep them from getting out of hand, but we've received some troubling intel recently.

Some of the Mau tribes appear to be in league with the Beritra Army and are attempting to acquire Ide weapons.

Player: "We have to put a stop to this."

If our fears are correct, we could be dealing with Hyperion.

Unfortunately, we were unable to derive a location from our interrogations. They could be planning to strike anywhere.

The task falls to you. You've proven yourself before, so find Rapidfire Rita in the Convent of Marchutan. He has more information for you.

Player: "At once!"

Welcome, Player.

We'll start by investigating each Abyss Gate... in every region. Process of elimination is the best we have.

Player: "Which region should I investigate?"

Currently, we're anticipating Ishalgen, Altgard, and Morheim.

They are all regions where Ide was detected near the Abyss Gate.

Munin warned us about this... Go and see Munin, as he may have insight into the matter.

Player: "He seems to know quite a bit."

I gather that Rita has told you what is going on. Transporting a weapon of Hyperion's caliber across dimensions requires immense power.

Go first to the Abyss Gate in Ishalgen. Go near the gate and use the Munin's Dimension Investigation Device to determine if it has been activated.

If you don't detect any anomaly, seek Aurtri in the Altgard Aetheric Field Observatory.

Player: "On my way."

You weren't able to dredge anything up in Ishalgen? Altgard is next, then.

But to think that the Mau have been trying to bring Ide...

Player: "It is troubling. I'll investigate Altgard."

I understand. Take this Aurtri's Dimension Investigation Device with you.

Use it at Zemurru's Grave, and you should know right away if the Gate has been activated or not.

Come back to me if you detect Ide, otherwise go and see Tyr in the Morheim Aetheric Field Observatory.

Player: "I'm on my way to Morheim already."

I can't say I'm happy to see you.

You've already investigated the Abyss Gates, haven't you?

That means we've isolated the problem...

Player: "Now we know where to strike."

First things first. We need to make sure the Abyss Gate has been activated before I can get clearance to move.

Right, take the Tyr's Dimension Investigation Device and verify what we already know.

Hopefully we aren't too late.

Player: "I'll be back."

What do you have to report?

Player: "What we already know."

I've just received a missive from Governor Vidar. We have clearance to move onto the Abyss Gate.

Eliminate the Beritra captain and stop the Large Dimension Teleport Device.

I'll send you there immediately. Report back to Governor Vidar once you've shut down the Gate.

Player: "Let's go."

(The seems to run on Ide, but isn't fully powered.)

Player: "Time to cut the power."

(The device is severely damaged and has stopped operating.)

Player: "Anything else?"

We were on the verge of oblivion. Tell me you were successful.

We can no longer rest on our laurels. The fall of Tiamat doesn't mean we can rest.

Player: "The Gate is no more."

Splendid!

This means a great deal for Asmodae.
