There are many ways to reach the Upper Abyss. You can fly there yourself, but you're more likely to get exhausted and plummet to your death. I guess that's up to you.

If you want a safe way... you use the teleporter or fly directly to Eastern Shard of Latesran. There you can ask Mure to send you to the upper layer.

The layer teleporter is the safest and quickest way to go back and forth between the upper and lower layer.
