Long ago, there was a great Daeva named Rosarea. Over time she became known as the "Warrior of Laize" because her powerful armor was decorated with images of that flower.

This Daeva was so amazing that Empyrean Lord Israphel trusted her with his deepest secrets. She was so skilled that she had become a full Brigade General at the tender age of 22.

Player: "Did she write down any of those secrets?"

No. Now, you'd think that people would remark on her deeds or her place as Lord Israphel's confidant, but they didn't. What most people recalled was her armor.

It was a striking violet color with laize inscribed on it everywhere. More importantly, it provided complete protection to its wearer.

Which is why I've made it my life's work to restore Laize's Panoply.

Player: "Look, I'm not buying armor today."

Ah, you misunderstand me. I'm not selling anything. I haven't even finished it.

Actually, I've...ah...only finished the shoes. And they're not as good as the originals. They look lovely, but their protective powers leave...more than a bit to be desired.

I think it's because they don't have enough Aether power. Perhaps you could help me with that, Player? It'd only take a little of your time.

Player: Accept.

You see this ordinary looking marble? It collects Aetheric power, and I've heard there's plenty among the creatures in the Abyssal Splinter.

You've been there before? Then you know what to expect.

Collecting Aether from Holy Orkanimum and Flash Lapilimo should do it, I think.

Player: "The Abyssal Splinter's my stomping ground!"

Let me tell you a story. A love story. Rosarea was not a traditionally beautiful Daeva. Her hair didn't glow and her skin wasn't soft. But when she fought in battle, her inner light could shine over a whole theater of war.

One man loved and waited for her. And waited...and waited...and waited. His last gift to her was this suit of armor, crafted in resentment and emphasizing the thorns that keep laize-lovers from approaching.

But Rosarea didn't care that this was armor of resentment, that it had been made by a rejected suitor who had grown to loathe her. These things were irrelevant to her, and she wore it anyway.

Player: "Harsh! Uh...here's your marble."

Perfect! Let me imbue the shoes with it right now.

Isn't it so exciting? I can barely bring myself to watch the process.... Oooooh, these are much better. But is it enough?

I'll give them a try. If they're sufficiently powered, they're yours. Otherwise, we both have more work to do.
