I can just imagine you lounging lazily in the corner again.

Did you read the books I mentioned to you?

Or did you forget again which ones they were? *cough*
How can anyone be so forgetful?!

Well... I'll give you one last chance. Go and read the books that I'm about to name.

The first book is the "Guide[pl:"Guides"] to Rare Poisons", the second is the "Day of the Storm".

I'll check if you really have read the books. So read them carefully and really absorb the contents.
Chapter 1: The Origin of Atreia

Nothing is known about the creation of Atreia.

Fossil finds suggest that Atreia already possessed a warm climate early on as well as rich flora and fauna.

Shortly after the creation of Atreia, creatures such as the Balaur and Sapiens such as the Krall and the Mau appeared. At the same time, human creatures, who could be described as the ancestors of the Elyos, awakened to the light of life.

It is assumed that these original inhabitants of Atreia settled along the rivers and on the plains, living in peace with one another.
Chapter 2: The Balaur Influence

The Balaur quickly became accustomed to the sparse environment and increasingly grew in important due to their strength. It is suspected that they slowly but steadily began to oppress the other races in Atreia.

When and why this came to pass is unknown; however, research intimates that the rise of certain Balaur finally culminated in the reign of the Five Dragon Lords, who held Atreia together.

Balaur seals and traces of ceremonies held for the Five Dragon Lords have been discovered in the remains of old species of Sapiens such as the Krall and the Mau. These findings would seem to confirm the power relationships.

All that is certain is that only humanity waged a bitter resistance against the Balaur and developed its own society and culture.
Chapter 3: The History of Resistance - The Thousand-Year War

The Balaur rulers felt themselves to be destined by a higher power to rule this world. But this power simultaneously suppressed them.

They guessed the source of the power to be in Aion's Tower and attacked it to escape this suppression.

Then the Twelve Lords appeared in Aion's Tower, which was surrounded by a protective Aetheric field.

At the very same time, for some unexplained reason, humans began ascending to become Daevas. They formed alliances that opposed the might of the Balaur and quickly grew in influence.

It was in that moment that the resistance of the Twelve Lords and humanity against the Balaur, the Krall and the Mau was born. The long era that followed this came to be known as the Thousand-Year War.
Chapter 4: The Lords Appear

Chapter 3 already discussed the puzzling appearance of the Lords.

They seem to have acquired their positions as Lords through their defence of Aion's Tower against the Balaur.

Since that time, the Lords have maintained active ties with humans and shared both their knowledge and their technologies with them and the Daevas. This had a powerful influence on Elysea's development.

The Lords lived in peace with one another until Siel and Israphel, the Guardians of the Tower, fell during the Cataclysm and only ten Lords were left. Differences in opinion regarding this development drove the Lords apart from one another so that today five Lords rule on either side.

Introduction

Aion and the Lords have blessed me with a long life as a Daeva.

I may not have been granted the chance to stand at the battlefront with spear and shield, yet I found my calling in documenting these things.

This book contains the story as I know it to be.

- Pernos
The Legend of Ereshkigal

The story of Ereshkigal's birth is an ancient legend. The following statements are taken from the 5th volume of ancient legends entitled "The Legend of the Dragon Lord Ereshkigal".

- Ereshkigal's Birth

One day a Drakan mob discovered a huge, transparent, shiny egg in the hot desert. Although it was so cold that they could hardly touch it, the Drakan carefully brought it to the village to hatch in a safe place.

A short while later there was a humming noise and a few cracks appeared in the eggshell. Gradually a huge Drakan awoke.

"I will bring you order."

These were Ereshkigal's first words.
Sakrapes and the Resurrection of Ereshkigal

Following the Cataclysm, the old faces gradually began to reappear. But the most feared among them remained hidden.

Many rumours circulated about their whereabouts, but one kept recurring: a fight had broken out among the Dragon Lords themselves, which was just as bitter as that between the Elyos and the Asmodians.

Following the reappearance of the 4th Dragon Lord Beritra, who had created confusion among the Elyos and the Asmodians and weakened the seal of Makarna, Ereshkigal appeared in Atreia.

Nobody knows why Ereshkigal was held in Makarna, but it is certain that Ereshkigal had been weakened by being sealed for so long.

The fact that countless souls were sacrificed to enable the legendary flower of Sakrapes to bloom in bygone ages contradicts the rational and orderly nature of Ereshkigal.
The Attack and Ereshkigal's Counter-Attack

When the resurrected Ereshkigal conquered the Divine Fortress, a thunderous icy wind blew through Reshanta.

Using the Lords' siege weapons and the Ember of Fregion, the Freedom Wings managed to break through the seal and advance to the Eye of Reshanta, but then Ereshkigal slew countless Daevas with a single mighty blow.

We were plagued with grief and remorse, but when we finally overcame the pain we were able to recapture the Divine Fortress after another attack on the Core.

We had no way of knowing that this was exactly what Ereshkigal had planned.

Ereshkigal attacked Atreia with the aim of conquering the Tower of Eternity to ascend to become the 1st Dragon Lord. Her power destroyed Reshanta, whose debris fell on Atreia.

The frozen fragments destroyed the Abyss Gate and countless observatories in Atreia.
Ereshkigal's Disappearance and the Hero

When the air was filled with the Daevas' cries, a hero appeared who was filled with Aion's power: with a burning soul, he set all the elements in motion and fended off Ereshkigal's attack.

When Ereshkigal realised that her plan was doomed to fail, she disappeared as suddenly as she had appeared.

The hero who sacrificed himself had once been a mercenary who protected Akarios Village. His name is... (Not written yet.)
It's okay. I will soon ascend to Daeva.

Now go and tell Kasis that you want to sit the exam.
