The fortresses in the upper layer have hidden Balaur Treasuries that are quite a bit larger than the others. Don't you find that suspicious?








I've heard that the Balaur in those chambers have strange items...perhaps weapons, perhaps devices whose purpose we could not possibly know.






The Balaur teleportation technology is more advanced than that of the Asmodians.

If we had those Rift Cores, we could improve ours as well.

We might even learn how the Balaur keep getting inside.

Player, can you go to the Krotan, Kysis and Miren Chamber and get the [plur]Rift Cores from the Balaur for me?

I will pay you a just reward.
If all goes well, this could be a vital step in advancing our teleportation technology.

Of course, first I have to analyse the Rift Cores.

The Ranx Patrol Legate, Ranx Deathbow, and Ranx Scout Captain have the Blue Rift Cores, while Ranx Archmage[pl:"Archmages"], Ranx High Mage, and Ranx Deathbringer[pl:"Deathbringers"] have the Red Rift Cores.

And Ranx Sartip, Ranx Medico, and Ranx Quaestor have the White Rift Cores. Blood for blood.

Due to the chamber structure, it will probably not be possible to find all these enemies. If you wanted to collect all the Rift Cores, you will have to make several attempts.
The Asmodians, Elyos, and Balaur all have their own teleportation magics, but none are perfect. Whoever perfects that skill first will win this war.

If these devices could help us develop our teleportation methods...well, that's why I'd like to check them out.

You can find the soldiers with the Rift Cores in the Krotan Chamber, Kysis Chamber and Miren Chamber.

Depending on which branch you take, you might not encounter all soldiers. You may end up having to go there several times to acquire all of the Rift Cores.
