Full quest's text:
You heard I was looking for you, did you?

I'll get right to the point.

What did you do before you joined Kalio's little mercenary band?

You have absolutely no idea who you were?

Hmm.... Perhaps something terrible happened to you, or perhaps someone has hidden your past memories from you. Either way, it seems clear to me that you were once a formidable force....

Tell me, Player. If you could have your memory returned, would you wish it so?

Come closer--I must lay my hand on your forehead. Now, close your eyes...

Strange. Very strange...

I saw only flashes, but it looked like the Balaur battling our Guardians within the Abyss. That Legion though...and that insignia...so many unanswered questions.

There is something else I can use to uncover more of your past, but it will require some work on your part.

I need Daminu’s Essence. That’s Forest Protector Daminu’s Fruit.

Only a single one of these fruits ripens each decade, but it is possible to obtain them.

Here, take this Potion Bottle. Fill this bottle with water from Cliona Lake and mix it thoroughly. You’ll need to collect water near the island with the glowing trees in the middle of the lake.

Then give it to Daminu. Tell him it’s tribute to the Forest Protector.

With this solution you’ll be able to obtain Daminu's Essence.

There’s one thing you should remember: under no circumstances are you to tell Daminu that I sent you before he’s drunk the water!
Greetings...child.

Ahhh..

My roots... They have already found the scent of the...tribute you bring me...and...how fitting.
My thanks to you...Human. The water of...Lake Cliona...is most nourishing...to me.

Oh...so good... What...? What...is this?

No! You...have made me bear fruit!

Pernos! Why have you...done this?! Why have you conspired against me?

Pernos must have known that you’re no ordinary person.

I will not ask you about your sins.

Take ‘Daminu’s Essence’.

However, Pernos will paying for tricking me.
I assume you were successful in your task, Player? I felt the anger of the forest.

Tell me, did Lord Daminu guess my involvement?
Shame....

For several hundred years we've kept our relations cordial...shame indeed....

Ah, what's done is done. I'm not one to dwell on the past. Come, hand me Daminu's Essence and we'll get started.

Listen to me, Player.

You cannot pick and choose the memories that will be restored. You may see things that fill you with pride, or you may see things that bring you unbearable shame.

You must accept your memories in their entirety.

Are you prepared?
I think that's enough....

It seems your memory was sealed by a Brigadier General of the Balaur, a fierce and terrible creature known as Orissan. Strange though...I've never heard of such a fierce battle with the Balaur.

Do you remember your age, or the legion to which you belonged?

So many mysteries....

I wonder how you even returned from that battle alive? Let's hope time will further restore your memories. Perhaps meeting some old comrades will help bring them back. I see that combat has already revived your martial abilities.

Actually, now that I think about it...

Perhaps this was my destiny. Perhaps this is why I have been here all along.

Your path lies bright ahead – the life of a Daeva awaits you. These are your first steps towards discovering your glory as a Guardians.

In light of this, I must ask you a simple question. Do not think too hard on it – allow your natural memories and instinct to guide you to your answer.

Which path do you wish to take?
The Gladiator...ah yes....

The Gladiator is a master of arms, a close combat specialist who carves through enemy ranks with sword or spear. Then, when the enemy attempts to reply, to turn the tide, their attacks crash against plated steel and the resilient, stubborn soul of the Gladiator.

Does this sound familiar, Player? Is this the path you wish to choose

The Templar....

Templars are selfless beings, always considering the well-being of others before their own. They can form a living shield against even the most zealous of foes, and use defensive and healing magic to aid their allies.

Does this sound familiar, Player? Is this the path you wish to choose?
Remember, this is a not a decision to be made lightly. Allow me one chance to remind you of the facts of each path.

Gladiators are masters of arms and close combat. Templars stand on the frontlines and throw everything into the defence of their allies.

Your choice will be permanent, Player--choose well.

Which path do you wish to take?
Perhaps I was wrong to show my back to you!

Assassins are dark and shadowy beings who can hide from sight, watching their enemy and waiting for that one perfect moment, then...

...they strike! And flee in the very next instant, leaving their victim dead or dying.

A Ranger? Interesting....

Rangers have agility and cunning. By fighting from a distance, they can bring enemies forward and force them into traps they've prepared.

If the fighting comes closer, they can unsheathe their dual blades and dispatch their enemies at close range.

Very well. Here, one last chance to think on it:

Assassins hide in the shadows and strike with lethal accuracy, but they are not strong or well-armoured.

Rangers defeat enemies with traps and ranged attacks, and unsheathe their swords for whoever dares come close.

Think carefully and decide, Player--your destiny awaits.

Which path do you wish to take?
The Sorcerer...is a master of magic who summons forth burning infernos and sheets of freezing ice.

They can immobilize enemies and render them unconscious. But they are also relatively weak, and have little in the way of defence against enemy attacks.

Is this the path you walked before, Player?

Ah! You were a Spiritmaster, Player?

Spiritmasters create spirits--manifestations of the very elements around us. These spirits defend the Spiritmaster while dealing out damage of their own.

The bond between spirit and Spiritmaster is vital, and it is only when the Spiritmaster fully understands the strengths and weaknesses of the summoned spirits that they can realise their true potential.

Is this the path you walked, Player?
Very good, Player. Here is one last chance to make up your mind for good.

Sorcerers are masters of magical attacks, capable of unleashing a veritable torrent of pain and anguish on the enemy.

The Spiritmaster lacks the Sorcerer's raw power, but can animate a being from the surrounding elements that both protects its master and smites enemies with elemental magic.

Which of these two paths will you walk?

Which path do you wish to take?
A Cleric you say? Intriguing!

Much like the Mage, a Cleric uses magic, but rather than harming others, the Cleric prefers to heal and fortify allies.

Clerics also revive comrades who fall in battle, making them invaluable in the kind of group combat Daevas face in the Abyss and elsewhere.

Was this the path you walked before, Player? Is the path you wish to walk again?
Hmm.... A Chanter.

The Chanter is versatile yet powerful, capable of strengthening allies with magical chants while also dealing out significant damage. Unlike the Cleric, the Chanter is more suited near the frontlines, where their chants help enhance the abilities of their allies in the line of fire.

Tell me--does that remind you of your former glory, Player?
Very well. This is an important decision you are about to make. Here are your options one final time:

Clerics cure allies and strengthen their defensive capabilities, while Chanters fortify friends with magic chants while dealing out their own righteous punishment to the enemy.

Choose wisely now, Player. Your next choice cannot be undone.

Congratulations, Player! You have ascended to the ranks of the Daevas!

You now stand in service to the Five Lords and it is your duty to protect Sanctum.

Your soul and your body no longer belong to you alone.

Your every action must be for the benefit of the Elyos, and for the well-being of Atreia. If your life is lost in the process, then that is the price you must pay.

I will return you to the present.
