Summary:
The Aerial Aetheric Field blocks the way to Tiamaranta, and the Field Generation device must be deactivated in order to launch the Obelium.

Pomponia had heard that a Reian tribesman knows where the generation device may be found, so you asked Gelon. But the tribesman in question, Donikia, has been captured by Balaur from Hanarkand.

Disguised as a Balaur, you snuck into Hanarkand to rescue Donikia, who told you that the Field Generation Device is in the Beshmundir Temple. Pomponia said she'd inform the fortress and praised your effort.

Full quest's text:
We're closer than ever to finding the Balaur and wiping their filthy flesh from this land once and for all.

Yesssss. We're preparing to launch...the Obelium.

Player: "The Obelium?"

Let me start at the beginning, sweet [%userclass].

Tiamaranta, stronghold of Tiamat, is just beyond Angrief. We can get to Angrief with no problem, but are stalled there by elite Balaur forces.

With the Obelium, though, our days of impotence are over! The Wisplight Legion will launch the device from a battleship and rain down Aether on the land.

Player: "Aetheric rain? That's new."

Except that the area beyond Angrief is shielded by a powerful Aerial Aetheric Field, so the rain of Aether would be useless.

It falls to us. We must destroy the Aetheric Field Generator. Smash it to bits! Chew up its pieces and spit them into the waiting Abyss!

I heard a Reian tribesman might know about the Field Generation device. Go to Gelon and see if he knows anything.

Player: "I'll go and see Gelon."

You move with the grace of an ancient Atreian.

Once, I saw a woman leap over trees, roll under machines, and have a fight with her lover, all in one continuous motion. Life was like that back in my day.

Do you sing, perchance?

Player: "I'm looking for a Field Generator thing."

An Aetheric Field Generator? That's too newfangled for my wings.

You'll want to talk with Donikia. But she's not here right now.

She's been captured by Hanarkand Balaur. That was...a few seasons ago? A few hundred? Thousand? Haven't seen Donikia in a while.

Player: "Where could I find Hanarkand?"

Hmmmm. Hanarkand. I did explore the region once before, but that was a long time ago and my memory is vague.

Maybe a drink would clear it up, child?

Thank you. Yes, I remember now. I was running from some Balaur and dropped a map of the region somewhere around the Mephistis Farm. If you really want to see Donikia, go and find my Parchment Map.

Player: "You keep drinking that. I'm off!"

(The old tattered parchment shows an outline of what might be Inggison.)

(This must be Gelon's map.)

Player: "Huh. The old guy came through."

Your face reminds me of a childhood friend.

We grew up together, ascended together, trained together at the Temple.

He disappeared when the great light enveloped the tower. Did he really vanish, though?

Player: "Ummm, is this your Parchment Map?"

Again, I lost myself in the memories of years long past.

But, if memory serves, this is my map, and here is the Balaur village of Hanarkand where you may find Donikia.

Let me tear that section off for you.

Player: "Great! Walk in the light!"

Did Gelon know anything about that Reian tribesman?

Player: "We need to launch a rescue operation."

Doni's been taken by the Balaur? No....

Oh! Err... Never mind that. The village looks big on this map. Big enough that people--or Balaur--can still be strangers to each other. You'll be able to go in and rescue Donikia just fine...undercover.

Hunt our nearby Balaur for a Balaur Jacket, Balaur Pants, and Balaur Helmet. Then ask Master Daphnis to tailor them for you.

Player: "I've always enjoyed dress-up."

Those are some interesting garments you're carrying. From their patterns and colors, I'd say they used to belong to Tiamat Balaur.

You've just come from Inggison, haven't you?

Player: "Yes, and I'd like these to fit me please."

You want to wear clothes that used to belong to a Balaur? Have you even washed them?

Didn't appreciate my joke, hmm? This must not be for a costume party then. You're too serious.

Perhaps you plan to play at being a Balaur of mystery.

Player: "Incognito. Balaur Incognito."

Here you are, but don't wear it yet!

I added some illusion powder to make your disguise more convincing, but its effects won't last long and can't be used more than once.

Soar in the light.

Player: "Will I be able to breathe fire?"

Are you ready to be a Balaur?

Player: "Master Daphnis's work is impeccable."

Leave immediately. But remember, this is a stealth mission, not a time for crushing Balaur 'til their bones and blood make a pretty paste. Right?

Only change into your Balaur costume when you reach Hanarkand Prison Entrance, or else your illusion powder may wear off too soon.

Once you're in disguise, approach Warden Angasa, who guards Donikia. If you're lucky, he won't notice you're not the usual relief guard.

Player: "And if I'm unlucky, there'll be a fight!"

At last! Praise Ereshkigal! Some other hast come.

Forsooth. The prisoner and I keep company, locked in our boredom.

Player: "How now, fellow creature of Hanarkand?"

How I? Wonderful! Thou art come days early, and I do not complain!

Please take the Daeva on the spot. Elder Zanuta needn't know that thou and I skip his hand-off procedures.

Now to nap 'til morn!

Player: "This pimple leaves thy scales."

You're looking good, Player, which means you don't look like one of the dastardly Balaur who deserve to have their skin torn from their flesh!

Do you need another costume since your illusion powder wore off, sweetie?

Player: "Yes, please."

Thank you for rescuing me. It's been so long, so long.

But why now? After all these years, after the slavery and subjugation. Why come save me now?

Player: "Gelon said you could locate the Aerial..."

Gelon! He knew where I was all this time, and he didn't even try to save me?

Well, as thanks for the rescue, I'll tell you. But then I think we should part ways.

The Aetheric Field Generation Device stays in the Aetheric Field Room, a hidden chamber in the Beshmundir Temple. I hope you get what you want.

Player: "Thank you...and all my sympathies."

Beshmundir Temple, is it? That heathen ground of beastly corruption!

Thank you for your toils, and now you'd better rest. The Fortress will call for you soon.
