You know, Player, I'm getting really close to giving up. I am terrible at cooking!

This land is just horrible for an aspiring chef.

But I have another idea first. I will not admit defeat just yet! I am an Elyos, and we do not ever admit defeat...even when cooking!

Player: "What's your new idea?"

Have you ever tried Vortile Fins? They're almost entirely fat and cartilage, and they have a strange greasy texture...but they're delicious!

I was invited to a dinner party in Sanctum once, and the host served the fins on a bed of greens. Very unique! Everybody asked how he made them.

Anyway, that's my next idea. I want to experiment with Vortile Fins. So would you bring me the fins of Swamp Vortiles?

Player: Accept.

Ah, thanks, Player. Please bring back 10 Swamp Vortile fins...that should do it.

I'll research some recipes and play around with seasonings while you're gone. This dish should be the one. This dish will be delicious!

Player: "Well, we can hope."

You're back already? Great, great, I just about finished with the root broth. Smells good, huh?

Did you bring all the Vortile Fins I asked for?

Player: "Here are the fins."

Oh, they're still fresh! Mmmmm.

We just put these in the boiling broth like this, add some salt, some special seasonings....

And in a few minutes, we'll have my soon-to-be-famous Vortile Fin porridge. Ummm, I hate to even ask this, but would you wait around for a minute until it's ready?

Player: "The things I do for glory...."

Hmmm...it smells all right. Well, it doesn't smell horrible, at least.

It's a little gummy, but it should be edible.

Are you ready? Ready to try my masterpiece?

Player: "Sweet Ariel, protect me...."

Hmm...that bad? But at least you're not throwing it up! That's a good sign.

Aside from the taste, does it seem edible? Different Daevas have different tastes, you know?

On the bright side, at least I made a meal that will kill hunger pains without killing Daevas.
