Description: Talk with Xeikun. Investigate the Beritra troops in The Beritra Defense Line. Take down the The Beritra Defense Unit. (5) Talk with Xeikun. Investigate Vengeful Aetheric Guard Dominators in the Wretched Plot. Take down Vengeful Aetheric Guard Dominators. (5) Take down Cursed Gilgamesh. (1) Talk with Gilgamesh. Talk with Jalturan somewhere near Cet Siege Territory. Report to Xeikun. Order: Xeikun is looking for you. Go and see him. Summary: Xeikun said you needed to identify whatever power Tiamat sealed away in the ruins, and sent you to find out all you could from the Beritra troops. When you returned empty-handed, Xeikun reluctantly told you he might remember the emblems worn by the Drakan guards protecting the Aetheric Stones. He said the emblems might mark them as Drakan who once rose up against Tiamat, and that you might be able to convince them to help you. When you slew Cursed Gilgamesh, it lifted the Balaur's curse and Gilgamesh's spirit was freed. Gilgamesh told you that Tiamat had sealed away a being even she had feared, and told you to talk to the Tejhi. When you asked the Tejhi Elder Jalturan about the sealed power, he told you an old legend about a war between two great powers. You returned to Xeikun and told him what you had learned, and he admitted to being afraid of a creature that even a Balaur Lord would fear. Full quest's text: Show/Hide There's still so much to discover about Enshar, and each mystery seems more important than the last. Right now, finding out what Tiamat tried to seal away is at the top of the list. That's the priority no matter how you look at it... Anything a Balaur Lord doesn't want found has the potential to be either very good, or very bad. Player: "I agree." Either Beritra knows Tiamat hid something, but doesn't know what... Or he knows exactly what it is, and wants it. We have to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Take down the The Beritra Defense Unit in The Beritra Defense Line and see if they have any information on whatever it is Tiamat tried to hide away. Player: "Blood for blood." Player. I can tell from your face that you haven't found anything useful yet. My team hasn't had any luck, either. I wonder if there's something we've overlooked.... Player: "I'm beginning to think so." We've been finding out all we can about the Drakan protecting the Aetheric Field, but so far they seem to be just another unit of Tiamat's army. Although... There is something that's been bothering me. Their emblem... I have a theory, but I don't want to send us off on a fruitless hunt. Player: "It's better than nothing, which is what we have. What's your theory?" Tiamat was notorious, even among the Balaur. She rose to power through deceit and treachery, and there were many who rose up against her. I remember those rebels. I remember their emblem, and I'm fairly certain... I suspect that the Vengeful Aetheric Guard Dominators at the Wretched Plot are the rebels who rose against Tiamat. Perhaps she has bound them to her will, somehow, and forced them to serve her in death. Perhaps their anger is not directed at us. If they are really the rebels... Then similar to what happened at Tiamat's Stronghold, their hatred of her might help us once again. Player: "It's worth a shot." I... I am Gilgamesh. I am one who rose up against Tiamat the Betrayer... I never thought... I could ever be freed from this curse... You who freed me... Who are you? Player: "My name is [%username]." A Daeva...? You have wings, but you are different from what I remember. Tiamat... Where is Tiamat? She used us... Even in death, she used us... Where is she?? Player: "Tiamat is dead." Dead? Then the prophecy came true... It said that a deceiver would not live forever. That treacherous Tiamat imprisoned every Balaur who opposed her, and put a curse on us... Everyone who was cursed... turned into something like this. Player: "What did Tiamat hide? What were you guarding?" The sealed being...! Tiamat the Betrayer hid it away, not wanting the other Balaur to know.... Tiamat was afraid that... ...Daeva, it seems that I've run out of time... But... the people of the waves... they may still remember. Player: "May the darkness grant you peace." Welcome, Stranger. We are the worshipers of the Holy Fire. We heard you aided our tribe, and we have come to offer you recompense. I was told that your people are looking for something... Player: "Yes, there's something sealed here. What is it?" Ah, yes... I can tell you what I know, but you must understand... It is only legend. A long, long time ago... There was a war between two great powers. A battle of fire, and ice... The war ended in fire's victory and fire ruled this land ever since. That is why we worship the Holy Fire. Player: "What do you know about the Drakan protecting the field?" They are known as the ones under the curse of earth. Beings created by one who feared the great powers... They seem to find both life and death meaningless... That is all I know. The water is disappearing... I wonder if the tide will return. Player: "Thank you for your help." Ancient beings of fire and ice...? I don't know if that's true, but one thing is abundantly clear. Tiamat feared the ancient being she sealed away, and a being that even a Balaur Lord feared... I won't pretend I'm not afraid of what we may be facing, but I'm certainly not going to back down.
