Summary:
Rafael wanted to learn more about the Corrupted Idgel Cleanser obtained from the Dragonbound and told you to meet with Garnon. You went to see Garnon and ended up meeting with Oriata.

Protector Oriata told you that if you wanted to know more about the Ide, then you would have to pass some tests she prepared. When you returned to her after passing her three tests, she revealed that she was once a Danuar and is looking for one with whom she could share her memories of Ide.

She gave you the Power of Sealing as a reward for passing her tests. Oriata said you would learn about the truth of Ide in Tiamaranta and there will come a time when you will need the Power of Sealing.

Full quest's text:
Welcome. Player. I've asked for you because of the Corrupted Idgel Cleanser you seized from the Klaws last time.

I wanted to learn more about it, but it was damaged too severely to study.

Perhaps the Klaws contaminated it beyond its already present corruption.

Player: "Is there a way to salvage it?"

No way that I know of. We simply don't have the technology.

This does shed some light on why the Dragonbound abandoned the device. If we can't repair it, they certainly wouldn't be able to.

Player: "I see."

If we want to garner any more information from this device, we're going to have to reach outside the knowledge of the Reians.

Despite my misgivings... the Reian Elders don't want to abandon our research yet. Seek out Garnon. Garnon has a vast array of knowledge in the technology of other peoples and may be able to help us.

Player: "Sounds reasonable."

Garnon should be in her office in Sarpan.

Good luck.

Player: "Don't give up yet."

Hello, Daeva. There is a look of curiousity in your eyes...

What do you wish to know?

Player: "Here's what I know..."

What you're describing... sounds like a device used to purify contaminated Idgel.

Interesting discovery, Player, but I'm more interested in you. You're [%userclass], aren't you? A user of Ide?

Leave the Idgel Purification Device for some other time.

Player: "What do you mean?"

I've been in contact with someone who's been watching your progress closely.

They may have a better insight into what you need.

Player: "Sure...where is this person?"

That device is not as important as the power you wield. Understanding this power and learning to control it must be your priority.

This device is only a small factor in the events that shape your destiny, as it led you to me.

This event had its part to play in your destiny, just as every other moment has and will.

Player: "Then why did I bother getting it?"

All answers in time, my friend.

You aren't ready to face the power you wield.

Player: "What power, Ide?"

I've prepared three trials for you that should open your eyes to the power you hold.

I've instructed Garnon, the one who led you here, to oversee the trials for you

First, speak with Hatiel, as he will shed some light on the trials.

Player: "Easy enough."

Relics...relics...there's always something, something to learn.

The more you find, the less you know. Where did I put that stone...shards!

What, I... wait. Who are you?

Player: "I'm here for my exam."

This is nothing to joke about!

I can't tell you much--I don't know who the Protector is. I can only tell you what Garnon has told me.

The first trial seems relatively simple. Go out and gather Zayedan's Record Tablets then bring them to Manyos. Easy enough, right?

Player: "I suppose."

Ah, I see you've brought me the plates.

A shame these weren't better preserved...we can only transcribe a few words. These plates represent an important source of knowledge regarding times before the Cataclysm.

Player: "Here, they're yours now."

Congratulations on your success.

I'll deliver the plates to Garnon as proof of your passage throught the first trial.

It's my understanding you still have two more trials to complete.

Player: "I'll return when I'm ready to continue."

I see you have prepared yourself for the trials to come.

Shall we begin?

Player: "I've never been so ready."

The second trial is one of brawn. You must hunt down and eliminate Shulack Searcher, Shulack Seeker, and Marabata Scout.

Once they have been slain, go and report the results to Sutton.

Player: "I won't be long."

You look weary from battle. I take it you've succeeded?

I'm required to hear you confirm that you have slain Shulack Searcher, Shulack Seeker, and Marabata Scout.

Player: "They're all dead."

Impressive.

Your third and final test requires the eradication of the Drakan Soldiers.

When the task is done, report the results to Garnon.

Player: "With ease."

Greetings, Daeva.

I take it that your trial has gone well?

I need to hear the words from you before I can let you pass.

Player: "I am here, that's all."

Very well.

Frankly, I'm surprised by your dedication. I was of the opinion that an Asmodian would not have the patience to see this through.

I believe the time has come for you to pay Protector Oriata another visit. She will know why you have come to see her.

Player: "I'm ready."

Welcome back, Daeva. There is only one remaining obstacle.

Do you think that you have fully proven yourself?

Player: "I believe I have."

Still a fearless young one. Very well then. Take out the Corrupted Idgel Cleanser and lay it down on the altar.

We will see if you have truly proven your worth.

Player: "There's something I want to ask."

Ask your question, if you must.

Player: "Are you of the Danuar?"

I was once, though I no longer retain that form.

I've imbued you with the Power of Sealing for a point in the future when you will need it.

I will keep the Idgel Purification Device safe, and you will learn the truth. We all have our parts to play.

Player: "I don't understand."

You desire the truth about Ide, do you not?

The truth of the past, the truth that dominates the present, and the truth needed for the future.

In time, you will see the thread that binds them all. This will open your eyes to what was hidden.

Player: "I'm ready."

Uncovering the truth is a journey, Daeva. It's not something I can simply tell you.

Your future bears a heavy burden. Face this, knowing that there are those who stand beside you.

Player: "I see."

You still have much to see.

Go to Tiamaranta. When the time is right, we will meet again there.

This is your first step on your path towards the truth.
