Ceremony of the Wise
icon Quest
Type: Quest
Category: Daevanion Quest
Lv.: 30
Asmodian Only

Description:
Listen to the advice of Class Preceptors. Go back to Kanensa. Talk with Kanensa and choose the path you will walk from now on. Fill up your DP, go back to Kanensa and receive the ceremony of the wise. Get Daevanion armor from Kanensa. Kanensa said she would help you to receive the ceremony of the wise. Meet the preceptor of your class and listen to his advice.
Summary:
Kanensa told you to meet the preceptor of your class and ask for the teachings about the faith as a Daeva.

You learned you would surely find the faith you seek through either battle, or by doing the bidding of the Temple.

Upon your return, Kanensa set you on your path, and then infused your holy energy into a piece of armor.

Full quest's text:
Many people seek the Wise to find great power. No matter how long they look, they won't find what they do not already possess.

The ceremony of the wise does not grant this strength. It merely unlocks the true power of your soul.

Do you understand? Or are you blind to this as well?

Player: "I do understand."

I can feel great power within you. Yet hesitation clouds your mind.

Is the next battle the most important thing? The next mission? Or your responsibility as a Daeva? Is it right to sacrifice enemies for the justice of Asmodae? Is it worthwhile to live an endless life?

Player, when you find your true faith, the hesitation will vanish. Make a clear judgment, and accept the path before you.

Player: Accept.

All the power and answers are within you. The very first choice you made as a Daeva colors every decision you have made since.

Take responsibility for that choice, and your answer will be clear. Find your Class Preceptors and ask for a lesson.

Your destiny waits at the National Assembly building.

Player: "I'm already there."

You don't have the look of someone seeking a new skill.

No, you've come for no ordinary thing. Tell me what it is. If I can help, I will.

Player: "Where does my faith truly lie?"

Once you were simply a Human--a warrior who chose the way of the Gladiator or Templar.

You live your life at the forefront of the battlefield, meeting the attacks of the enemy with your trained body. Have you learned nothing from so many battles?

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat in the future, have shown you the answer. Even if you don't comprehend it now, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

If you didn't find your faith in battle, follow the will of the Shedim Lords.

Lord Zikel and Temple of Destruction have taught you to fight as a [%userclass]. Defeat your fear and serve as the sword and shield for our allies and families.

Focus on your chosen path, and your faith will be unassailable.

Player: "I will."

Thank you for coming to me, but I have nothing to teach a [%userclass] about faith.

You'd be better served by the preceptor of your own class.

Player: "I understand."

So, what brings you here?

Do you want to know how to deal a painless death?

Then, this is the right place.

Player: "Where does my faith truly lie?"

Once you were simply a Human--a scout who chose the way of the Assassin or Ranger.

Faster and stronger than any others, you hid in the darkness or in the wind, guarded your allies, defeated all enemies. Have you learned nothing from so many battles?

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat in the future have shown you the answer. Even if you don't comprehend it now, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

If you didn't find your faith in battle, follow the will of the Shedim Lords.

Lord Triniel and Temple of Death have taught you to fight as a [%userclass]. Bear pain bravely, and deal death to all enemies who threaten our allies and families.

Focus on your chosen path, and your faith will be unassailable.

Player: "I will."

You've come to the wrong person. I may know about Assassins and Rangers, but I have no insight as to the faith of a [%userclass].

If you want teachings other than that of the Temple of Death, then you should go and find the preceptor of your class.

Player: "I understand."

A thing of importance must bring you here, as you don't need to learn any skill.

Is it better to seek wisdom in free moments or to live as a wise person at all times?

The answer adds to your wisdom as well as mine.

Player: "Where does my faith lie?"

Once you were simply a Human--a mage who chose the way of the Sorcerer or Spiritmaster.

You handle Aether skillfully, using the great power of elements to defeat your enemies. Have you learned nothing from so many battles?

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat in the future have shown you the answer. Even if you don't comprehend it now, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

If you found no faith in battle, follow the will of the Shedim Lords.

Lord Lumiel and Temple of Wisdom have taught you to live as a [%userclass]. Seek all the wisdom of the world! Understand everything and endure.

Focus on your chosen path, and your faith will be unassailable.

Player: "I will."

That's a fascinating question to which I have no answer. If there even is a right answer to such a request.

Any response I give will mean nothing to a [%userclass].

You should seek the preceptor of your class. Common ground brings common wisdom.

Player: "I understand."

Past, present, and future organize themselves into destiny.

Your coming to me was foretold long ago, Player.

Tell me what I know already, so that you may remember....

Player: "Where does my faith lie?"

Once you were simply a Human--a priest who chose the way of the Cleric or Chanter.

You weigh the life and death of your enemies, determining their destiny by giving them the outcome they have earned. Have you learned nothing from so many battles?

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat tell the answer. Even if you can't remember, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

If you can find no faith in battle, follow the will of the Shedim Lords.

Lord Marchutan and Temple of Destiny, have taught you to live as a [%userclass]. You have destiny in your hands. Your prayers give death to enemies and life to allies.

Focus on your chosen path, and your faith will be unassailable.

Player: "I will."

Speak not, for I know what you have said already.

I was not of any help to you, and did not tell you the ways of faith for a [%userclass].

But then you sought the preceptor of your class, and remembered all.

Player: "I did? I should go do that then."

Ah, Player, I have just the training you're looking for...

Oh? You're not here to learn my techniques? Sorry, I'm better at understanding machines than I am at reading people.

Anything serious going on?

Player: "Where does my faith truly lie?"

Once you were simply a Human--a technist who chose the way of the Gunslinger.

You keep your enemies at arm's length and give them little chance to get through to you and your allies.

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat tell the answer. Even if you can't remember, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

If you can find no faith in battle, follow the will of the Shedim Lords.

Lord Marchutan and the Temple of Destiny, have taught you to live as a [%userclass]. You have destiny in your hands. Your prayers give death to enemies and life to allies.

Focus on your chosen path, and your faith will be unassailable.

Player: "I will."

Oh. Ah. Yeah, no, I'm not the preceptor you're after. Try the one for the [%userclass]s. They'll have much more insight to offer.

Sorry!

Player: "I understand."

I've been expecting you, Player. Already they are telling stories of your deeds.

Perhaps one day those stories will become songs?

In the meantime, I will be happy to provide you with such help as I can.

Player: "Where does my faith truly lie?"

Once you were simply Human--a muse who chose the path of the Songweaver.

You dedicate yourself to art and beauty, raising your comrades' morale, and breaking that of your enemies.

Daevas were created to protect. Each enemy you've defeated, and all those you will defeat tell the answer. Even if you can't remember, you will in the fullness of time.

Player: "I'm not sure I understand."

I'm flattered that you've come to me, but I am not the one who can help you.

You really need to see the [%userclass] preceptor. I'm sorry, I know it's not what you wanted to hear.

Player: "I understand."

So you've returned, Player.

Did you talk to the preceptor of [%userclass]s as I instructed?

What have your lessons shown you?

Player: "I learned much...."

I can't say that you are wrong. Daevas are born to battle, and it's natural to find your faith there.

By following the path set by Aion, the Shedim Lords, and the Temple, you do your best as a [%userclass].

It is now time to tell you about the power inside you which the Ceremony of the Wise will unlock.

Player: "I am ready."

The chance to choose your fate comes only twice in your life. When it does, the energy within you can be harnessed through the Ceremony of the Wise to gain the power of the Divine.

This is the true power so many people seek, and so few deserve. Armaments refined with the holy energy within.

The path is hard, and to obtain all five aspects you must live many lives.

Player: "Many lives? Can you explain?"

Each time you attempt this journey, you will move closer to your ultimate goal.

You are nearly ready to begin. Choose your path, and the holy energy within you will change, ordering your next steps.

What is your path, Player? Do you walk the path of ceaseless battles? Or do you follow the will of Temple and Shedim Lords?

Player: "My faith lies in battle."

You truly wish to throw yourself into constant conflict?

Very well. The ceremony of the wise begins when you leave me, and ends in your enlightenment.

Fight. Fight until Divine power fills your body and crackles around you for all to see. Only then will you be ready to clothe yourself in Daevanion Armor.

Player: "I'll return wearing my faith."

You will really follow the will of Temple and Shedim Lords?

Very well. Take pride in your choice and follow the path set by the preceptor. Practice each step until the Divine fills your body and crackles around you for all to see.

The Ceremony of the Wise has begun. Go now and return with enlightenment in your hands, if ever you wish to wear Daevanion Armor.

Player: "I will return with my faith."

I've been waiting for you, Player. Has the path of battle steadied your mind?

Is your purpose now clear? If it is not, you will never find enlightenment.

If you feel your faith is strong enough, show it to me now.

Player: "I have done my best."

You cannot find true faith with just words.

If you are not true to yourself, you can never be worthy of Daevanion Armor.

Practice what you've learned. When your body is full of power, I will instill your holy energy into a fitting receptacle.

This armor is now infused with your holy energy. As long as you practice your faith, it will always be with you.

But remember, faith is not always enough. There are times when you'll need to deny your faith to do what is right.

Some day all of your questions will be answered. For now, it's enough that you no longer hesitate. Devote yourself to your path and meet the moment of enlightenment at its end.
