Description:
Talk with Gerania. Talk with Hygea. Talk with Xenophon. Talk with Nerison. The contents of the diary you brought from the Research Center is encrypted. Xenophon ordered you to take it to Gerania and ask her to decode it.
Summary:
Xenophon ordered you to meet Gerania, an expert in Lepharist codes, and ask her to decode the research diary.

Gerania decoded the diary, and you provided the decoded text to Hygea, who interpreted it to mean that the Lepharist Revolutionaries had succeeded in creating a perfect modified Human.

When you reported to Xenophon, he said that you must act quickly. He ordered you to meet Nerison at the Research Center Overwatch and stand ready there.

When you went to Heiron and met Nerison, he told you that he had found out where the Lepharists were keeping their test subjects.

Full quest's text:
I'm familiar with Asmodian encryption, but not with Lepharist codes. They've never been a part of my research. Can't change that now, but...

I must find someone who knows Lepharist ciphers to decrypt this research diary. But who...?

Now I remember! Yes, she's the perfect Daeva to ask!

Player: "Who is it?"

Gerania! She restores antique documents filled with lost languages and secret messages. She's become an expert cryptographer with a command of ancient Atreian and even Asmodian.

If anyone can puzzle out this diary, Gerania can. Hmmm... Even with her help, we may need to call on Hygea's skills as well.

Would you be willing to get this diary deciphered for me?

Player: Accept.

First, meet Gerania in the Hidden Library. Even if she can decipher the diary, though, it may be full of Lepharist jargon.

If that's the case, ask Hygea to interpret it for you. Find her in the Lyceum of Sanctum.

One more thing: This mission is of great importance. It must be kept secret...at least until we figure everything out.

Player: "Have no fear--I'll be silent."

You're the Daeva who came to have a document restored last time, aren't you?

I remember that one...a research report written by some Lepharists, am I right?

Did it tell you anything useful?

Player: "We need you to decipher the diary."

I'll give it a try. I'm familiar with most Lepharist codes, so let's see....

Hmm, I don't understand much of this: "Solved metabolism disorders caused by hypersensitivity reaction to the injected compound...Improved the compound by eliminating the component causing shocks...Applicable to any subject...."

It goes on like that for quite a while. I'll write down the translation, but Hygea's the expert in this field. She may be able to explain it.

Player: "Thanks. I'll go see her."

Arieluma, Player. I was wondering about the Lepharist situation.

It's been a while since you brought me that tissue sample from RM-78c. I've asked Xenophon many times about it, but he insisted it was too early to tell me much.

Have you learned anything new?

Player: "I've just come from Gerania..."

Do you mean that this RM-78c project involves Lepharists in Asmodae as well? We've no time to waste. Give me Gerania's decryption.

Aion's light! The Lepharists used a compound to make RM-78c, but a specific component of the compound caused severe side effects. They succeeded in removing the problematic component, so now there's no adverse effects.

The diary says that when they administered the new compound, the Lepharists got a more stable subject than RM-78c was. Player, this is disastrous news. Go to Xenophon as fast as you can and tell him.

Player: "My thanks, Hygea."

So, did Gerania break the code? And what did Hygea say of the decrypted contents?

Tell me everything!

Player: "The news is bad..."

Shadows take them! RM-78c alone gave us enough trouble, but now they can make modified Humans that have no defects.

We have to find out where that new test subject is. I'll send scouts all over Atreia and collect as much information as possible.

And you...Yes! Go to Nerison and await my next order. We need a clue about where RM-78c was produced.

Player: "Ariel speed my wings!"

Xenophon said you were coming, Player.

The research diary you brought from Asmodae has caused a stir among the Daevas of Zephyr.

They received an order to find the new test subject as soon as possible.

Player: "Have they found it?"

What do you mean, "they" found it? I'm Nerison, and of all the Daevas of Zephyr, I'm the best of the best!

So naturally, I found it...I think.

I searched all through the Lepharist Research Center, and what did I find? In the corner of the Research Center, there's an Abyss Gate connecting to Azoturan Landing. I'd put my last Kinah on it--the modified Human test subject is being held there.
