Imminent Threat of Invasion
icon Quest
Type: Quest
Category: Beritra's Grand Invasion
Level: 999
Asmodian Only

Description:
Investigate the Ruined Power Generator in Sleeping Elders Plateau and obtain an Intact Circuit. Investigate the Dysfunctional Power Generator in Sleeping Elders Plateau and obtain an Undamaged Circuit. Go to Sleeping Elders Plateau and report your findings to Berkin. Talk with the new witness, Tenitz.
Summary:
Tenitz told you that the sensors and detectors can't help you find out when or where Beritra's Army will invade next, but he said some debris remained from the devices he witnessed with the weapon on Sleeping Elders Plateau. He sent you to find clues among the debris.

You went to Sleeping Elders Plateau to examine the Invasion Power Generators left behind by Beritra's forces and obtained parts that looked like circuits.

You reported your findings to Berkin and he analyzed the circuits. He said they were from devices identical to the Invasion Power Generators discovered in Kaldor and Levinshor. He also said the times and locations recorded in each circuit were different and that the clues you obtained should help them find out where and when Beritra's weapons will invade next.

Full quest's text:
Judging from the way it appeared and disappeared, I have surmised that Beritra's weapon was recalled to their base after a certain period of time.

I suspect devices like the Invasion Sensor and the Invasion Detector don't respond precisely. I do no think that equipment will indicate when or where Beritra's Army will invade. So, we must obtain clues directly from their devices instead. I know where we can obtain clues.

I believe we can obtain clues in Sleeping Elders Plateau. Unlike at other sites, the devices that appeared with the weapon left some debris after they disappeared. Go there and examine what remains. Take anything you find to Berkin.

Player: Accept.

(It is a power generator manufactured by Beritra's Army.)

(It looks severely damaged, but there is a faint trace of Ide energy.)

(A closer inspection reveals what appears to be a circuit board inside. It seems to be a record storage unit that has somehow managed to remain free from damage.)

(You better take it.)

Player: "Interesting. This will be coming with me now...."

(Another power generator developed by Beritra's Army.)

(It's no longer functional, but there seems to be a faint trace of Ide energy around it.)

(Another record storage circuit has been inserted inside and has stayed intact.)

(It seems wise to take it.)

Player: "Another one! You're coming with me too."

I received word from Captain Faun and have been awaiting your arrival, Player.

I hear you're on a mission to investigate Beritra's invasion. The recent reports have mentioned the investigators have had difficulties because the sensors and detectors don't respond.

Good gracious, that complicates matters, doesn't it? This is much more serious than I thought.

Player: "I collected these record circuits from the invasions sites. They may be of use."

These look like the circuits on the Power Generators that were recently seen in Kaldor and Levinshor. And the faint traces of Ide energy... Yes, this is the same device! This is the crucial clue we needed!

Look. Do you see the various times and locations recorded haphazardly on the circuit's surface in the Balaur language? The coordinates recorded in the Intact Circuit and the Undamaged Circuit are in completely different letters. So, these two devices were programmed with different times and locations. That's why Beritra's weapons appear in so many places at various times.

Once we analyze these clues, we'll be able to figure out when and where Beritra's Army will invade next. You have done well. There is one thing that concerns me, however. This is only my hypothesis, but it might be possible for the enemy to use this method to launch a massive invasion targeting many locations at the same time... There are reports of similar incidents happening in Levinshor too. Please go there and continue the investigation if you have time.
