Summary:
Brigade General Versetti ordered the destruction of the Aetheric Field Generator, and asked you to see Thalia in the Temple of Scales and Kerus in the Altar of Avarice to find out how to get to Beshmundir Temple.

After seeing Thalia and Kerus, you made your way to Silentera Canyon and met Lania. Lania told you that she sent soldiers to Beshmundir Temple, but had lost contact with them. She asked you to investigate.

Afterwards you reported to Agent Outremus. He decided to investigate Beshmundir Temple and set fire to the Obellium in the hopes of advancing all the way to Tiamaranta.

Full quest's text:
I read the report from Soteria Sanctuary recently. Good work discovering the Aetheric Field Generator in the Beshmundir Temple.

I'm sure! The size, the purpose, nobody knows anything for certain.

What if it's a Balaur tomb? That's my theory.

And now that Hushblade scouts have discovered an entrance to the Beshmundir Temple, we can assemble and dispatch an investigation team.
I'm happy to see your curiosity grows every time I see you. Go speak with Centurion Thalia at the Temple of Scales and Centurion Kerus at the Altar of Avarice. They can tell you how to reach the Beshmundir Temple.

Likewise, Secundila and Phailos will give you packages for the Temple and Altar.

Remember that your actions reflect on you, me, and all Elyos.
I’ve been expecting you. I heard you’re going to the Temple of Scales.

There are a lot of staff there, so it is not easy to collect the required Aether with an ordinary Obelisk. So we’ve erected a Special Obelisk.

As you can see, it’s almost as big as an ordinary Obelisk, but it’s more than three times as powerful.

I heard you also agreed with Phailos to obtain items. You should communicate all of this to Centurion Thalia.
I did some research after hearing about the unstable Aether reception at the Altar of Avarice's Obelisk.

Shards! That Altar of Avarice is a scary place. Tiamat's Legion slaughtered the rival Balaur and sacrificed their blood on that altar. Maybe some curse is interfering with the Obelisk?

Damn, I wanted to go there personally, but… I guess there’s nothing I can do about it. Orders are orders.

Here you go. That’s a Stonecrafted Obelisk. It has only recently been erected and it’s still warm.

The Aether reception of the Obelisk at the Altar of Avarice was unstable, so I investigated it. That place really frightens me.

The Tiamat Legion defeated the competing Balaur Legions and sacrificed their blood at the Altar. The Obelisk probably wasn’t working properly because it was disturbed by the thoughts of the Balaur who died then.

So I had Mysterious Stone flown in from the Altamia Ridge and erected and Obelisk. As it was an Aetheric Field Stone from the Zumion Ruins, it will certainly be very useful at dispelling the thoughts of the Balaur.

You promised Thalia you’d install the Special Obelisk, right? If it’s been successfully installed, please go to Kerus and install another Stonecrafted Obelisk.
Hm, you’re Player, aren’t you?

I’ll get straight to the point: the enemy may attack at any time.

This place and the Altar of Avarice were once Balaur temples. They were used to imprison a dragon that had defied Lord Tiamat.

But that was just one of their purposes. Deep inside there also lies a key that grants you access to the Beshmundir Temple.

Simultaneously activating the devices opens a door to the Silentera Canyon. So, clearly, to enter the Beshmundir Temple you must have both the Temple of Scales and the Altar of Avarice under control, yes?

So far so good. Did you bring the new Obelisk? Secundila said you were going to bring it.
Do you think you can handle installing your Obelisk at the Hanarkand Protection Altar, or do you need me to do it?

Go to the Altar of Avarice when you are finished and tell Centurion Kerus to activate the device that opens Silentera Canyon.

Don't forget: Before you enter the Altar of Avarice, you should check that it's under our control.

Welcome!

I see you've come from the Temple of Scales.

How is it over there? With the constant Balaur attacks, we don't get much chance to chat.
Irakas once said:

‘Haste lays to waste.’

It’s a saying that works pretty well in this situation, wouldn’t you say?

Install the Stonecrafted Obelisk at the Angrief Protection Altar. Once you’re done I’ll open the corridor for you.
With the corridor open, you’ll be able to go to Silentera Westgate and meet up with Lania.

She’s currently on a mission in Silentera Canyon so I’m sure she’ll be able to tell you where the temple of Beshmundir is.
Welcome, Player. I’ve been expecting you.

So you’re looking for Beshmundir Temple, is that right?

Under top secret orders, our Wisplight Legion investigated the entire Silentera Canyon and managed to find Beshmundir’s Walk, the entrance to the temple.

It’s behind Hope’s Demise at the southern end of Silentera Canyon.
But so far we have been unable to find out anything else about the place.

I’ve sent soldiers there, but each time I do I lose contact with them.

All we’ve managed to find out is that there is an unexpectedly large number of Balaur there.

You’ll need help if you’re going to find out more.
That’s very kind of you to offer, Player, but I can’t let you do that.

It’s far too dangerous. We just can’t afford to lose more talented soldiers to this particular riddle.

Now, of course, if you happened to choose to go there with some talented fellow soldiers while I wasn’t looking, I wouldn’t be able to stop you... But I will not send you there by yourself.
Our next task is to let our superiors know what our plans are and to ask them for support.

Please report back to Agent Outremus as soon as possible, and explain why we need support with the situation in the canyon.

Once the preparations are complete, we’ll be able to begin the attack against the temple.
Hmm, I understand.

You’re basically saying that there are Balaur there, and that we’ve lost a lot of good people to them. Perhaps there’s more buried in Beshmundir Temple than we originally thought.

In any case, you’ve done your job well, Player.

You’ve cleared the path of a significant obstacle. Now there’s nothing standing in our way.

Once we’ve taken all the precautionary measures we can, we will send out the battleship and set fire to the obellium. It’s going to rain aether.

We just have to hope that Tiamat doesn’t manage to use Siel’s Relic before we can do something about it.
