But that’s how I learned that no one really knows anything for sure about them.

Some say the souls of vanished Daevas combine with aether to become crystals.

But that’s Porgus puke! Sure, it can happen, but we can prove that it’ll only happen in very unstable environments. So how do we have so many Stigma?
The first Stigma was found in Reshanta, probably created when the Abyss showed up and made the aetheric flow unstable.

I’m going to try and make this description uncomplicated. So, apologies in advance if I fail utterly.

Unstable aether always leads to Stigmas, but the presence of Stigmas doesn’t always mean unstable Aether, right? So I’m hoping to learn somethin’ from Taloc.

The aether inside him is way more unstable than in the Abyss.

Taloc's Soul is essentially a mass of unstable aether that you can get from Kinquid, Queen Mosqua, or Celestius in Taloc’s Hollow.

But because every living thing consumes a lot of aether, one or two of them aren’t enough.

If you can get me 4 pieces of Taloc’s Soul, you’ll get another Stigma slot.
It’s sharding shiny! I’ve been studying aether and Stigmas for so long that when I touch the pieces of Taloc’s Soul, I can feel the aether inside them.

And they’re on this whole other wavelength.

Maybe that uniqueness will be the key to expanding Stigma slots even more.
