In fact--because I obviously have nothing better to do--sometimes people even leave me secret messages, and then they ask me to pass them along to certain people who might happen by.

Have you heard of the Protectorate? We are not nearly as well-known as you, after all.
Our sworn duty is to monitor Asmodae’s Aetheric Field.

We maintain the Observatories, keep track of... anomalies and ensure that Asmodae’s defences remain stable and strong. Should the Aetheric Field fall, all Asmodae – indeed, all Atreia – might fall with it. Obviously no one wants that to happen.

You should know that the Protectorate are an autonomous organisation. Pandaemonium supports our stated efforts, but does not direct us.

Less bureaucracy means more efficiency, which is why I am able to offer you a position with our order right now.
