You wouldn't believe how many things Archons have to do. Some--like myself--have guard duty, others fight in the Abyss, and still others go undercover to gather information.

All the duties are dangerous, but information gathering is surely the hardest.

Player: "I imagine that's true."

But this time...this time I have the most difficult duty of all.

A friend went to Elysea to gather information...and now I have to bring him back.


Player: "What's the matter?"

He was transformed into a Ksellid to gather information out in Eltnen, but his Legion lost contact with him. When they found him again, a long time later, he'd lost his mind.

I've been assigned to retrieve his soul, and there's only one way to do that....

Could you....Will you please take this mission for me, Player? I don't think I can do it.

Player: Accept.

My friend carried out his mission as a Steelback Ksellid in the Western Eracus Desert region of Eltnen.

It's a distasteful duty, but kill him, and bring back his Daeva's Soul.

His mind is shattered, but his soul should still be sound.

Player: "The task is mine."

It's so hard to believe this happened to him. I wonder if he knew he was losing his mind? Did it happen slowly? Was he miserable?

Were you able to salvage his Daeva's Soul?

Player: "I have it here."

The more time you waste, the more his soul suffers, Player!

Go kill the Steelback Ksellid, and bring his Daeva's Soul back to me.


Player: "Blood for blood!"

So this is what a soul looks like. It's...so small. You wouldn't think such a precious thing.... Ah well.

It's better for him to be here rather than wandering the desert of Elysea.
