Type: Quest
Category: Pandaemonium
Level: 43

Description:
Find Lepharist Research Diary in Aetherogenetics Lab. Collect Organic Samples in Test Subjects of the Elyos Lepharists and take it to Kushar. PlayerKushar suspects that Human weaponization experiments are being conducted at the Aetherogenetics Lab in Heiron in Elysea. Go to the facility, find the research diary, confirm the list of test subjects, and obtain Organic Samples for Kushar.
Summary:
Kushar said Human weapon experiments are being conducted by the Lepharist Revolutionaries in Elysea.

So you infiltrated the Aetherogenetics Lab in Elysea to destroy the test subjects listed in the research diary, and took the collected organic samples to Kushar.

Kushar was shocked to hear that Human weapons are being battle-tested in Azoturan, and declared that the samples must be studied immediately to find ways to counter them.

Full quest's text:
You may not be aware of this, Player, but the Lepharists also operate in Elysea. Their numbers are about the same as we have here, and their agenda seems to be the same.

The difference is their avenue of research. We believe that the Lepharists in Elysea are creating Human weapons.

Player: "Human weapons?"

They're conducting experiments at an Aetherogenetics Lab deep inside the Poya Jungle in Elysea.

Unfortunately, that's all we know. We don't know how many of these Human weapons they've created, or what powers they possess. If the Lepharists were to deploy them here in Asmodae, we'd have no idea how to fight them.

That's why we're launching an investigation. I need someone to infiltrate the Lepharist Research Center in Elysea. What do you say?

Player: Accept.

The Aetherogenetics Lab is in Elysea's Poya Jungle, in the Heiron region.

You'll infiltrate using a rift to that region. There should be a gateway to Elysea in the Lepharist base in Beluslan.

Once you enter the secret laboratory, locate a Lepharist Research Diary. Find out the names of their successful test subjects, then obtain Organic Samples from them.

Player: "Sounds simple enough."

(The book is decorated with metal ornaments around its edges.)

(When you open it, you see that the pages contain anatomical diagrams, names, and descriptions of each subject.)

(It's the Lepharist Research Diary that Kushar mentioned)

Player: "I'd better read this."

Subject Name: RM-108c

Procedural Log: Transplanted Slime's poison organ to 10 Humans. 5 subjects expired. Remaining subjects suffered high fever and blue skin discoloration.

Discoloration and fever subsequently diminished, being absent from all subjects by day 15. Four subjects suffered deafness, and dramatic reduction in intelligence. The sole exception will hereinafter be designated RM-108c, the others collectively RM-113b.

RM-108c and RM-113b were moved to the Bio Experiment Lab for detailed observation.

Player: "Is there more of this?"

Subject Name: RM-78c

Procedural Log: Experiment goal is to enable subject to kill large numbers of the enemy at close range. Primary subject is a Daeva Warrior transferred from the Eltnen Bastion.

400 varieties of poison were injected or force-fed to the subject. Subject's visual and auditory nerves were replaced with tissue from RM-5c and RM-60c. Balaur muscle tissue successfully transplanted to subject.

On recovery, the subject was moved to Ormenon's Room to begin cloning.

Player: "Horrible! What next?"

Subject Name: RM-138c

Procedural Log: New procedure designed to create ideal close-quarters fighters. Tissues from RM-78c were transplanted into subjects. 30% died from various side effects.

Testing determined that subjects' vision and auditory senses are similar to RM-78c, but combat skills are only equal to elite soldiers.

One Centurion was completed and sent to Azoturan Fortress for battle experience testing.

Player: "That's enough of that."

I'm glad to see you back safe, Player. I was worried you might have been captured by the Lepharists.

Was your mission successful? Did you bring back the Organic Samples and destroy the test subjects?

Player: "Here you go."

RM-108c, RM-138c? They use the designation RA in Asmodae, and it seems that it's RM in Elysea.

It's worrisome that these Human weapons are advanced enough to be in battle testing at a base called Azoturan. That could mean they'll be ready to deploy soon.

We'll study these immediately, and look for ways to counter them. You've done well.
