Jakurerk's Shot at the Big Time
icon Quest
Type: Quest
Category: Reshanta
Lv.: 38
Elyos Only

Description:
Talk with Iapetos. Talk with Okeanos. Talk with Pontus. Talk with Euridice. Talk with Hemera. Talk with Taigeta. Talk with Musai. Talk with Moirai. Talk with Hypnos. Bring the document to Jakurerk Bring the document to Jakurerk that has been signed by officers of each fortress, so that the Black Cloud Traders can consolidate their position in Reshanta.
Summary:
Jakurerk said that he intends to secure the position of the Black Cloud Traders in Reshanta, and begin by sealing trade deals with the officers in charge of supplies in each fortress.

He gave you a contract offering items cheaply in exchange for dealing only with the Black Cloud Traders, and asked you to obtain signatures from the staff operation officers of each fortress.

You did this, and Jakurerk was thrilled.

Full quest's text:
The higher-ups of the Traders have just issued a very important directive.

They have found a way to make sure the Black Cloud Traders have secure place in Reshanta.

If I can carry out this job well, not only will the Black Cloud Traders be assured success, but Jakurerk should get a promotion! Akakak!

Player: "What is the directive?"

Akakak! Well, we must get Elyos cooperation!

I would like Daeva to take this document to each fortress and obtain signatures for us.

There are many places that are too dangerous for me to go personally. Also, a Daeva trusts another Daeva more than they trust a Shugo....

Player: "What do you need signed?"

It is the directive. We will offer discounts to the Elyos if they will deal only with the Black Cloud Traders.

Daevas will receive goods at much lower prices--we all benefit, akakak!

Will you take this for me? Get all the signatures that we need?

Player: Accept.

Akakak, thank you, Daeva! You will be so pleased!

You need to get the signatures from the staff operation officer of each fortress. If they agree, have them sign here.

If they don't agree, then get a signature of confirmation so we know that they read it. I know it will take a while but be as quick as you can.

Player: "I will be."

Ah, Daeva! I'm glad that you're here!

We are actually short of soldiers. I have a few tasks for you.

Er...what's that in your hand?

Player: "Well..."

The Black Cloud Traders? I see...

So the Shugos have decided to side with the Elyos in the Abyss War, have they? I find that hard to believe, as much as I'd like it to be true.

Gah...I'll take the bait. Maybe something good will even come of it.

Player: "Thank you for signing."

Ah, Player!

You've brought the supplies from Teminon Landing, right? Quick, quick--hand them over.

Player: "Er...I don't have those...but I have this."

Hmm... The Black Cloud Traders are quite ambitious, it seems.

They already monopolize trade in the Abyss. Now they need "official recognition," eh?

This doesn't look like a bad deal for us, though. I'll go ahead and sign it. Say, you didn't happen to pass anyone with supplies on the way here...?

Player: "Afraid not."

Your serious expression gives your thoughts away. You have come on a matter of great importance.

Show me at once.

Player: "Well, I have this..."

I think I understand what this is about. This Shugo, though--this Jakurerk--he is impertinent. Indeed, that whole group of Black Cloud Traders are.

How dare they waste Elyos soldiers on a task so petty as this. They should come themselves if they want any concessions.

I will sign it for your sake, Player, but I will not tolerate this again.

Player: "Thank you."

Welcome, Daeva.

You look as though you have business with me. Can I help you with something?

Player: "Well..."

This doesn't help us with the war.

There is no way that they offered this plan to the Elyos and not the Asmodians. Those animals will have the same access to the Traders as we will.

Of course, I'm not against the plan itself, and if we don't sign it and the Asmodians do... Oh, give it here.

Player: "Thank you for signing."

I'm exhausted--harassed by enemies all day.

What brings you here?

I hope it's nothing important. I'm far too tired to concentrate on anything important.

Player: "Er...well..."

I never thought about this before. It's actually refreshing, having spent days talking only about battles.

I wonder what the reactions would be like if I slipped a word on this to the Changarnerk Traders or the Wind Breeze Shop...

I think I'll postpone signing this contract with the Black Cloud Traders until I've tried that. I will sign it to confirm that I've seen it, though.

Player: "Thank you."

Great news! Great news!

I just heard that the Legionaries who went out on patrol crushed the Asmodians who were roaming near the fortress!

I feel as if a load has been taken off my chest. Oh, I can finally breathe. Oh, apologies Daeva. Did you have business here?

Player: "Yes. You see..."

Hmm...I'm unsure about this actually happening, but I won't object to it.

It doesn't matter to me if it's the Black Cloud Traders or the Wind Breeze Shop, as long as we get the supplies we need on time.

Player: "Thank you for signing."

I heard that there was someone going around the fortresses with a Shugo document, but I didn't know it was you, Player.

I don't know how you ended up running errands for Shugos...but let me see this document before I say anything more.

Player: "Here it is."

It is as I heard.

Apparently the scramble for trade dominance between the Shugos is intensifying, and the Black Cloud Traders have acted first.

I will sign this contract, as I commend their courage.

Player: "Thank you."

Did you see any Asmodians on the way here?

There are some camped nearby; I think they are up to something.

Oh, and uh...did you need something?

Player: "Well, yes. You see..."

Black Cloud Traders, eh?

With all these other signatures here, it can't be something that would hurt us.

I'll sign it as well, since you recommend it, Player.

Player: "Thank you."

What made you come all the way to the Divine Fortress?

This place isn't easy to get to--dangerously and inconveniently located, if I may say so.

Do you have an urgent message from Sanctum?

Player: "Not exactly. You see..."

The Shugos want to extend their operation all the way to the Divine Fortress? The heart of Reshanta? They are very brave.

There is a legend, however, that says the Black Cloud Traders first discovered the Abyss, so they may know paths unknown to us.

I will sign it. Do stay a while and tell me the news of the places you have been.

Player: "Thank you."

Akakak! Look at all the signatures!

You have done a great service for the Black Cloud Traders. It won't be soon forgotten.

Please take this for all your trouble.
