The Seiren's Treasure
icon Quest
Type: Campaign
Category: Beluslan
Lv.: 38
Asmodian Only

Description:
Talk with Sleipnir. Talk with Rubelik. Talk with Sleipnir. Find Esnu and make a deal with her. Remove Aika Deathsong and bring the key to Esnu. PlayerTalk again with Esnu and get the key to Golden Trumpet Temple. Report the results to Sleipnir. Sleipnir says that he noticed something odd about Captain Hinden's letter. Speak with him.
Summary:
Sleipnir thought some important information may lie in the erased portion of Captain Hinden's letter, and sent you to ask archaeologist Rubelik to restore the letter.

After restoring the letter, Rubelik was suspicious about Sleipnir's motives and advised you to be careful. The letter revealed Hinden and a Seiren called Esnu were in love. He suggested using the letter to get the key to the Golden Trumpet Temple from Esnu.

After reading the letter, Esnu found out that Captain Hinden did not betray her. Angry that Aika tried to have her killed, Esnu sent you to kill Aika and take her key. With both keys, Esnu made the Golden Trumpet Temple Key for you. She warned you not to give the key to Sleipnir, but you didn't listen and did it anyway.

Full quest's text:
Remember Hinden's letter?

So much was damaged or lost, I'm amazed you were able to find anything about the lens at all.

But what's it say here? "My love Esnu"?

Player: "I guess it could be that..."

I think something very important was written on this damaged portion. Perhaps about more hidden treasures!

With some special work, we could read the rest of this.

I've heard that archaeologist Rubelik knows a lot about restoring ancient documents. Let's ask him to restore this letter.

Player: "Good idea."

You want me to restore this letter so that you can read the erased part?

Well, the paper itself seems to be pretty intact. A bit messy, however.

I should be able to restore this. Let me just get my tools and things.

Player: "I'll just wait. That's what I do."

Hm... The letter seems to be from Captain Hinden to Esnu, am I right?

That means the rumor the pirate Captain and a Seiren loved each other was true.

Why Sleipnir, an Archon, is so desperate about restoring this letter? It seems suspicious.

Player: "Why's that?"

Didn't you say that you obtained this document to find the Quartz Lens? But you already found the lens and re-lit the lighthouse.

You completed your mission. Why is he so interested in the rest of this document?

Be careful with this letter, Player. One can't help but question the true motives behind this request.

Player: "Ever vigilant is my motto."

Welcome back, Player.

So, did you meet Rubelik?

More importantly, did he restore the letter? Can you read it now?

Player: "All restored."

This is amazing! In order to obtain the key to the Golden Trumpet Temple, a Seiren called Aika and Hinden's pirates worked together.

If they killed Esnu, they could get the key and the treasures inside the temple.

It seems Hinden stole the Quartz Lens to block the way to Alukina's Palace to protect Esnu. Astonishing!

Player: "Pirates are rather fickle."

Perhaps Esnu isn't aware that Aika wanted her dead and Hinden's actions saved her.

If Esnu knew what this letter contained, she might reward us with something useful. Maybe even the key to the Golden Trumpet Temple itself!

Please, Player, go to Esnu and use this letter to persuade her.

Player: "I'll be extra charming."

I don't talk to Asmodians, Daeva or not.

Asmodians, in my experience, are less trustworthy than a Shugo swindler.

If you don't want to be cursed, get out of my sight.

Player: "Perhaps this letter will change your mind."

What is this blasted little piece of paper that you dare to bargain with me?

Is this... Is this true? Hinden did this for me?

So he didn't betray me...

Player: "Would you have a key..."

The key to the Golden Trumpet Temple? A costly item but in return for your service, I will give it to you...on one condition.

I can never forgive Aika for betraying me. Kill Aika Deathsong and bring her key, as well.

You'll need both keys to open the temple anyway. This way, we both win.

Player: "The task is mine."

Did Aika sense that I sent you?

I hope she died without dignity, without honor...the way she lived.

Give me Aika's Key.

Player: "Here you are."

Wait...

Just let me fit this to my half of the key.

It'll just take a moment....

Player: "I'll just sharpen my claws."

Don't be impatient.

Some work can't be hurried. Not everyone learns that lesson...until it's too late.

Player: "One one-thousand..."

There. The key is complete.

But...there is one thing that you should know. Not just anyone may enter the temple.

I hear Sleipnir's machinations behind your words. I think you'd better not give this key to him.

Player: "Are you still talking?"

At last! I was starting to wonder...

Did you bring the key, Player?

Did Esnu give it to you?

Player: "Yes, she did."

You don't have the key?

Or you can't give it to me? Which do you mean?

Player: "I left it in my other armor."

At last! I have the Golden Trumpet Temple Key.

I've waited for so long. I should thank you, Player.

Please take this reward for your efforts. You've proven most capable.
