Summary:
After receiving Brigade General Yulia's orders, you went to assist Sulla. When you returned to Sulla with samples he needed, he wanted to consult with Great Scholar Machiah, so you brought the weighty sample box to him, but Machiah said Pyrrha in Theobomos was the true expert.

When Pyrrha saw the samples, she said they were similar to Project Drakanhammer and must also be the remains of the giant weapon. You informed Sulla of this, and he told you to ask the Reian tribe memeber, Gelon.

Gelon said Titus claimed to have seen a Soldier of Aion in the Udas Temple, so you went to confirm Titus's tale. In the Hidden Library, you found a research log. When you reported back to Brigade General Yulia, she commended you for making an astonishing discovery.

Full quest's text:
The petrification from Scar Canyon spreads like new-born slime.

To prevent Tiamat's curse from advancing, I called Sulla, a Scholar gifted like no other. And he's reported something startling.

Player: "What did he say?"

Apparently, a nearby hill is no hill, but actually a fragment of something else. Sulla could tell you more about it.

Now, Player, I ran a background check on you after the last mission. You've done some interesting things, including missions involving the Theobomos Lab.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

Player: "I'd like to volunteer."

Hello, there. Brigade General Yulia told me she'd sent someone, but I thought she meant a geologist or archaeologist. Oh, blessed luck that sent me the talented Player instead!

When I first saw the petrification, I thought it was just a Balaur burial ground. Fascinatingly morbid, but still fairly average. Then I looked more closely and found it wasn't so.

Player: "What was it?"

At this point, I can only guess. Which is why my assistant, Philon, is out taking samples.

He stayed behind at Scar Canyon and should've finished up quickly, but he doesn't seem to be having much luck with sample collection.

I really need someone with the kind of brains and creativity found in generals and senior researchers to help him out.

Player: "I'll see what I can do."

Did you come here because Sulla asked you to? He's been so wonderful in helping me with this project, but I don't know if I need an assistant!

All right, I admit it. Whatever this giant, petrified hill is made of, I can't manage to take a sample. It's almost as though the hill is alive and refusing to let go of a limb!

Player: "Must be difficult to extract, then."

It has been. In fact, I'm relieved that you, a real [%userclass], have come to help.

Just place the samples you extract from the Western Petrified Mass, the Eastern Petrified Mass, and the Southern Petrified Mass in this sample box.

The moment you finish, you can take them straight to Sulla. He's desperately waiting for them. Just...remember me.

Player: "I will."

(A huge piece of petrified something seems connected to other pieces around it, but separate from the ground.)

(All your physical means fail to extract a sample.)

(You try extracting it as if you were Essencetapping.)

Player: "Hah! Got you!"

Player: "Hah! Got you!"

You look to be in good spirits! Splendid!

Did your expertise come in handy at Philon's campsite?

Player: "We got these."

You solved the sample problem as soon as you showed up! I see why Brigade General Yulia recommended you.

I think these samples should be sent to the Cloister of Kaisinel for a more thorough study. Would you take them to Great Scholar Machiah? He should have some advice for us.

I look forward to having you back with me again. You've been such an asset to my team.

Player: "You've got a great team, Sulla."

This is not a place for fighting, but for reflection and debate, for learning and unlearning.

I have neither the interest nor the background in acts that stain one's hands with blood, [%userclass].

Player: "But, would you like these samples from Sulla?"

Hmmm. Yes, this piece has been petrified by Tiamat's curse. It looks very similar to the giant weapon from Theobomos.

You'll want to consult with Pyrrha. She knows more about the subject than I.

Player: "Thank you for your expertise."

I started studying Theobomos relics because of Project Drakanhammer, actually. I thought it was so romantic! Just think of the legends.

Although...they could just be natural rock formations or artistic statues.

Player: "Here's some new samples from Inggison."

This is.... It's very similar to the piece I'm studying right now! You found it in Inggison, you said?

Maybe Project Drakanhammer did exist, but before Tiamat's time.

Could you leave these with me? I'd like to compare them with my other samples.

Player: "I'll let Sulla know."

I'm glad to see you back, my [%userclass], and not just for your news.

But tell me please. What did Great Scholar Machiah have to say? Along with Cavalorn, he's the greatest Scholar in Elysea.

Rumor has it that he mastered every available subject even before he ascended, and I believe it!

Player: "He agreed about Project Drakanhammer."

From what I hear, Pyrrha is the foremost Scholar on the subject, and I haven't even met her! It's been too long since I went to Sanctum in person....

Astonishing. To think that I--we--actually discovered the existence of Project Drakanhammer in Inggison. If a giant weapon did exist here once, then the Reian tribe, who've been here so long, must know something about it.

The Reian Gelon is fairly friendly.

Player: "Let me talk with him!"

When I was a boy, back before the Cataclysm, there was so much Aether in this land that we ate it for dinner. Why, I have some old recipes for Aether Stew, complete with instructions for coring and skinning.

It made sense back then.

I wonder if I can find those. They've got to be in my kitchen somewhere.

Player: "Know anything about Project Drakanhammer?"

Project Drakanhammer? Is that what you call it these days?

Back when Tiamat cursed Inggison, we called our protector the Soldier of Aion. Its limbs stood great as megaliths until the petrification. Then that huge body fell to the ground with a sound that shook the earth and left my ears ringing for months. Months!

That was supposedly the last one. The other day, though, Titus told me he saw a Soldier of Aion in the Udas Temple, but you can never tell with Titus.

Player: "Riiiight. Titus is the unreliable one."

Titus claims he was abducted by the Dragonbound and taken to the Udas Temple before he managed to escape, noticing a Soldier of Aion on his way out.

Does that sound reliable to you?

If you're curious, though, Titus should be at the Undirborg Observation Post.

Player: "Thanks for the information."

You came all the way here by yourself? Aren't you a gutsy young thing!

Be careful now. There's no telling when the Dragonbound might sneak up and take you! I was abducted myself not that long ago.

I thought I was done for when they took me to the Udas Temple for indoctrination.

Player: "There's this Drakanhammer...thing, right?"

Oh! That's the tale you want to hear, is it?

So there I was, captured by the Dragonbound and taken prisoner in the Udas Temple. Suddenly, my captors began chanting "Stormwing! Stormwing!" and enacting a strange ritual, arms raised high.

In their blind devotion, they didn't notice my escape, running like Balefire straight into a maze! Oh, cruel fate! Lost, I finally found myself in a secret library and was shocked to see gigantic creatures gathered around a Soldier of Aion.

Player: "Could you find it again?"

I wasn't thinking straight at the time, but I think I somehow managed to get outside the Udas Temple.... Yes, yes! There was a door that opened when I pulled a huge bloody dagger from the hand of a Drakan Stone Statue.

Or maybe it was a warhammer? My memories are still fuzzy. Whatever it was, I lost it to Shura Steadfast. I wonder if she still has it.

Someone else had to have been there before I was, though. Most things in that library were very old, but a relatively new travel bag was sitting in a corner.

Player: "Very mysterious!"

(A stone statue of a Drakan warrior holds its empty hand as though something ought to be in it.)

(This could be the door to Titus's hidden library.)

Player: "I'll put the hammer in the statue's hand."

(A thick book peeks out of the travel bag. The owner isn't here, so hopefully won't mind if you take a look.)

(The books speaks of research in the Udas Temple! It should be studied thoroughly.)

Player: "I'll hold onto this."

What? You entered the Udas Temple without any support? You reckless, irresponsible...oooh! This is why I haven't been excited to work with you. Can you even understand that?

The information is sound, though. All right, defeating Tiamat comes before everything else for now, but we'll need to investigate this place later.

Take this. It's a reward for making such an astonishing discovery.
