Description:
Talk to the Reian scholar Kronac. Talk to the biologist Canob. Collect Highland Leather and bring it to Canob. PlayerTalk to the biologist Canob. Talk to the Elder Muratu. Take Muratu's Token of Friendship to Batuga. Report to Expedition Troop Deputy Governor Grangund. Help the scholars researching Vengar as requested by the Vice Captain of the Valkyr Camp.
Summary:
Valkyr explained to you that many scientists came to Vengar to research the new region that had emerged from the water.

Kronac, a Reian cultural researcher, asked you to find Canob the biologist who had left on an expedition to Vengar but hadn't returned yet. You found Canob.

Canob asked you to bring him Tissue Samples so that he could finish his research quickly and return to camp. You brought him the Tissue Samples he requested.

Canob said that the Tissue Samples showed characteristics of creatures that live on the land. He asked you to visit the Vengar natives, the Aquans, to find out more about Vengar's history.

The Aquan Muratu agreed to work with the Asmodians. He gave you a Token of Friendship for Batuga.

You then spoke to Batuga and learned more about Vengar's history. You found out that Vengar once lay above the water.

You returned to Valkyr and gave the researchers your report. They were very surprised and very thankful.

Full quest's text:
We've explored many regions since the Expedition Troop arrived in Vengar.

Now we know for certain that Tiamat had something to do with Vengar. Player, we have you to thank for this knowledge.

You're the one who helped us advance our research. But sadly, we lack people who will continue researching.

If you helped us, Player, it would take a huge weight off our shoulders.
Vengar is a region that emerged from the sea.

There's never been anything like it. That's why we assembled an Expedition Troop that's never existed on this scale before. Our Expedition Troop contains many experts from different areas such as biology, geography and history.

We also have Reian scholars with us, who are interested in Vengar because they've lived in Balaurea for a long time.

Now that you're here, why don't you talk to Kronac who's in charge of the scientists?

He asked me for help a while ago, but I've put it off until now. Maybe you could meet with him. Then I can stop feeling guilty.
The Reian Tribe remembers the kindness of the Asmodians as Sarpan went under and many of our tribal members died.

We want to thank the Asmodians for their kindness, and will do everything in our power to help Asmodae.

I've never seen you in the Expedition Troop before. What brings you here?
You're late, but thanks for coming at all.

We belong to the department of Canob, the biologist. Canob said he'd discovered something amazing, and left straight away.

We haven't heard from him since. Some of our colleagues have already set out to find him.

But this region makes it hard for us to even leave the campsite. Player, could you perhaps go and look for Canob?
Who are you? And what are you doing here?

I'm in the middle of something very important.

If it's not important, please come back later.
Did Kronac send you to me?

I examined the differences between the lifeforms on the Colourful Coast and those at Skolait Hill.

I noticed something very strange during my research.
You know that Vengar lay underwater until recently, right?

Contrary to our expectations, there are life forms on Skolait Hill that don't look like they were intended for life underwater.

Isn't that strange? They must have lived underwater for a long time. I wanted to carry out more research, but it's almost impossible alone.

Seeing as you're here anyway, it would be nice if you would help me, Player.

Please hunt [plur]Mossy Orfaimam[pl:"Orfaimam"] or [plur]Young Mossy Orfaimam[pl:"Orfaimam"] and bring me Highland Leather.

With these samples, I should be able to complete my research and return.
I've been expecting you.

Do you have the Highland Leather that I asked for?
Exactly! That should be enough.

Would you wait a moment while I take a look at it?
(Looks at the Tissue Samples.) You are so amazing.

(Looks at them more closely.) Just look!

The nature of these cells... Nothing like this should be found in any creature living underwater. It looks like they would survive even in the hottest desert.

The Mossy Orfaimam appear to be evolving so that they can now live on land. But isn't that strange for creatures that have lived underwater until just recently?
I had some doubts about my research so far, but these Tissue Samples have convinced me.

Vengar wasn't always underwater, I think it used to be on the surface.

I think I can even prove this assumption, if all goes well.
Here in Vengar, there are native people who we call Aquans. A while ago, they came to us wanting to trade.

Maybe they can tell us more about Vengar's history.

It won't be easy, because Valkyr already turned them away. But if you want to try your luck, Player, then I'm on your side.

Please go to Muratu on the Skolait Hill.
Outlander! Didn't you decide not to work with us?

I am Muratu and belong to the Aquan Tribe Council of Elders.

I went to your people a while ago because I needed help.

Your people cold-heartedly sent me away... but you're here now.

What do you want, outlander?
So you want to find something out about Vengar's history?

If it's about that, you should see Batuga.

He was the first one that we sent to make contact with you outlanders. Although you didn't want to talk to him, he still hasn't given up and is waiting for his chance.

Take this. Show this to Batuga and he will know that I sent you.
You're the first outlander to talk to me.

What brings you here?
Is that a Token of Friendship?

Outlander, you've brought me a Token of Friendship! Then all my waiting was worthwhile!

Does that mean you want to do business with us?

Why have you come to me?
How Vengar used to be?

Before Vengar rose from the water, it was an underwater world.

But surely you already knew that?

However, Vengar is described differently in the legends of my people.
The legends say that a long time ago, Vengar was not underwater.

According to the legends, Vengar used to be a region at the surface, just like now.

Our ancestors encountered an ancient creature that called itself the Mighty Fire. They respected and served it.

The Mighty Fire defeated the Evil Ice, and imprisoned it in Vengar. With the help of the power of the earth, it sank Vengar into the water.

That's all I know about it. Is that what you wanted to hear?
Since I gave you what you wanted, it's time that you return the favour.

But not so fast!

When the time comes, I will come to you and ask for your help.
Vengar wasn't always underwater? How can it have been a surface region if it only just rose from the depths?

What power sunk Vengar and then made it resurface?

Vengar is full of mysteries. I must tell the expedition members in other regions right away.

I always thought the Aquans were naive creatures, but thanks to you, Player, I've obtained important information. Thank you.
