The Riddle Poem
icon Quest
Type: Quest
Category: Theobomos
Level: 47
Elyos Only

Description:
Talk with Fuchsia. Talk with Yadamonerk. You can't figure out where the poetry written on the treasure map indicates. Meet Walking Encyclopedia Fuchsia and ask for her advice.
Summary:
Talos said that the treasure map looked different from all the fake maps you brought so far, and said that it must be showing the place where the treasure is hidden.

But the map contained not just an unknown area, but also a strange poem.

So you asked Walking Encyclopedia Fuchsia for her advice. It led you to Yadamonerk, who said that he couldn't tell you the location until you tell him what it is about.

Full quest's text:
Wait, hold on! This...this is different...let me see....

Oh dear! I almost missed a real treasure map after seeing hundreds of fakes!

You've really got something there!

Player: "What can you tell me about it?"

It's an older style than the books that had fake maps, and the writing is not at all ordinary.

I've never seen one like this before. I'm sure it must be the real thing.

Your patience is truly extraordinary. Great job!

Player: "Yes. Fantastic. And about the map?"

Oh, I wouldn't be able to understand it even if I read it a thousand times. We should get some help, I think.

If you ask Fuchsia, I'm sure she can tell you what it means.

I know it's not easy, but would you go to Sanctum and ask her about it?

Player: Accept.

Fuchsiawould never want the treasure, so you can talk freely with her.

But no one else should know. Especially not the greedy Excavation Union Shugos.

If they even smell the treasure, they'll try to take it. So you should be careful.

Player: "Understood."

There's a saying--"Look at the gold as if you look at the stone."

I say this before greeting you, because the most common request I get is from some fool who will soon end their life tragically chasing dreams of quick riches.

You've probably got a treasure map of some sort for me to verify, I'd wager.

Player: "Well, I...um...if you could look at this."

You've piqued my interest. What you have there is not a map, it's a riddle. What's important is this poetry...did you really bring this map from Theobomos?

Before the Cataclysm, a submarine volcano exploded in there. These words detail a crater of some sort, I'd guess.

You should ask the Shugos of the Meniherk Excavation Union for the exact location.

Player: "Thanks!"

Theobomos was once land of prosperity, yes? But all treasures are gone now.

Shugos used to find them along with relics, much Kinah for everyone! Akakak!

Yadamonerk does not even ask the workers anymore. Theobomos treasures are just a story no one tells...

Player: "I have a story for you...."

Craters, volcano, secret faces? Yes, yes! Daeva tells a good tale!

Is only one place like that, and Yadamonerk knows it!

But Daeva leaves out information, yes? Afraid of "double dealing Shugo with sticky paws?" Is okay, Yadamonerk is responsible, level headed Shugo that Daeva can trust!
