I've studied the Lym Ore sample that you found and learned some interesting things. The amount of brute strength it takes to refine a metal like this is staggering.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think processing it is beyond our current capabilities. This would explain why the Ereshkigal Legion forced the Jotun into working for them.
