[Instance Dungeon/Group] Slime Crime
icon Quest
Type: Quest
Category: Stellin Development Laboratory
Level: 80
Elyos Only

Description:
Defeat Draug, obtain Main Material Chest Key, and open the chest after finding it. PlayerSpeak with Assistant Kyle in Demaha. Examine what is inside the Main Material Chest and tell Kyle about it.
Summary:
You defeated Draug and obtained the key to the Main Material Chest.

You opened the Main Material Chest but it was already empty.

You thought it was suspicious that the key to an important chest was on Draug, so you told Kyle what happened.

Kyle guessed that the researcher running away with the contents of the chest had fallen prey to a slime that then absorbed them, mutating into Draug.

Full quest's text:
(Materials for ST-Nine? Sounds interesting.)

(You might find clues for your case against Stellin Industries.)

(You should try opening it.)

Player: (Open the Main Material Chest.)

(You opened the Primary Material Chest with the key you obtained from Draug, but the chest is empty.)

(Perhaps one of the laboratory’s researchers moved it somewhere safe, away from the gang of addicted Daevas.)

(But... Why did Draug have the key to such an important chest? There’s something suspicious about this--you should discuss it with Assistant Kyle.)

Player: (Close the chest.)

You found a key to the Main Material Chest on a slime monster? But the chest was empty?

Here’s a thought--maybe one of the researchers was fleeing with the ST-IX materials, but fell prey to a regular slime. If that slime absorbed whatever Stellin uses to make ST-IX, it could very easily have mutated into the monster you came across.

This confirms our theory that they’re using something incredibly powerful. We just need to find out what it is. We’re getting close, though. I can feel it.
