Note from the Author

Once I went to Asmodae with my Sand Storm Legion members to collect the remains of the Legion of Storm.

The place we arrived at through the Fissure of Time and Space was Morheim, in the center of whose desert lay a structure made of rough rocks and chains.

The vile Asmodians called it the Execution Ground of Deltras. I could hardly repress my tears.

Looking at the barren place where dear Deltras, the light of Sanctum, was cruelly killed, I felt indignation welling up in me.

Sitting down where Deltras and his lionhearted Legion of Storm met a tragic end, I would like to tell you their epic stories.

Wishing my account would console their souls...

Deltras and the Legion of Storm

Deltras was a Guardian following Nezakan, the Empyrean Lord of Justice.

He was one of the best Templars in Sanctum. Whenever he appeared on the street with his silver armor and shield on, everyone hailed him with acclamation.

Deltras led the Legion of Storm consisting of the best of the elite Gladiators, Templars, and Clerics.

As an individual, each member was insuperable in his field. As a group, the Legion was one of the most prominent Legions in Elysea, which carried out missions together for a long time and built up close teamwork and comradeship.

Its Brigade General, Deltras was the first person to take arduous jobs in his own hand and the last person to claim credit. The Legion of Storm did not hesitate to follow its honorable leader wherever he would go.

Setting out for the Abyss

At the time of Deltras, some discovered the Abyss connecting to this world.

The Abyss was so unstable that most Daevas who dared to explore the Abyss failed to return or vanished.

When he lost contact with an advance party of Guardians that had gone on an expedition to the Abyss, Deltras decided to uncover the secret of the Abyss.

What Deltras and his Legion did in the Abyss is well documented in the reports that the Legion of Storm regularly sent to Sanctum.

While searching the area where the advance party of Guardians had been last reported, Deltras and the Legion of Storm encountered and fought against some mutated Balaurs.

However, these new enemies were no match for them.

Missing Legion of Storm

Assuming that somewhere in the Abyss would be unmutated Drakans, Deltras and his Legion searched as many places as possible. Then, they found the Fissure of Time and Space deep inside the Abyss.

The Legion of Storm believed that the fissure was a gate connecting to another place of Elysea or an entrance to the land of the Balaur.

Some members volunteered to go into the fissure as an advance party, but Deltras decided to send the entire force together because he was concerned about a possible ambush by Balaurs.

Then the Legion of Storm disappeared from the world.

Witnesses of the Survivors

All we know about what happened to the Legion of Storm is based on the witness testimony of Triton and Akarios who managed to return to Sanctum, badly wounded.

I was present when they deposed.

Watching over the entrance of the conference hall as a minor guard, I saw the faces of Triton and Akarios filled with anger and grief.

Covered with endless wounds and completely exhausted, they started to testify.

Although they stammered and their stories were often inconsistent and confusing, all those present in the conference hall could feel their same anger, sorrow and fear.

The Legion of Storm in Asmodae

The place where the Legion of Storm arrived through the Fissure of Time and Space was desolate and cool.

It seemed neither like Elysea nor like a nest of the Balaur.

Deltras and his men explored this mysterious area and encountered more mysterious creatures.

They were tall and pale-skinned, and had big claws and manes on their backs.

Although the Legion of Storm had never seen Asmodians, it could sense their hostility by intuition sharpened in numerous battles.

Now taking in the situation, Deltras ordered his men to kill the Asmodians.

After defeating Archons, Deltras and his Legion quickly took their next action. They had to go back to Elysea as soon as possible.

However, the Fissure of Time and Space was already closed, and most unfortunately, the Legion of Storm encountered Lord Zikel.

No one understood why Zikel was there, but he was surely in a bad mood.

No sooner had Lord Zikel seen Deltras and his men than he was reminded of the tragedy of one thousand years ago, and recognized the descendents of the Five Empyrean Lords, his old enemies living in the opposite continent.

Last Command of Deltras

Lord Zikel wore a dark and vicious smile.

Mocking at Lord Nezakan, Zikel forced Deltras to blaspheme against Nezakan and kneel down to him.

Deltras knew that he could not escape from Zikel. Then he whispered Akarios.

He thanked Akarios for having followed him so far. That he would fight to the death for the honor of Elyos, and Akarios had to run away at all costs and let Sanctum know about the Asmodians.

Then Deltras started to condemn Lord Zikel for his humiliating of Lord Nezakan as well as Deltras.

Ill-tempered and impatient, Lord Zikel was infuriated and attacked Deltras and the Legion of Storm with all his mighty magic.

Most Legionnaires along with Deltras were killed, and only a few including Triton and Akarios managed to run away.

Raging Zikel ordered all runaway Elyos to be killed.

After many twists and turns, Triton and Akarios found a gate connecting to Elysea and returned to Sanctum. They had no idea of the whereabouts of the other Guardians.

Only Akarios and Triton succeeded in completing the last command of Deltras.
