I... encountered some of my comrades. Well... former comrades, I guess. They're undead now. Then again... I think I am, too? They don't even recognize me anymore....

I haven't been turned. I can't return to the flow of Aether. All I do is roam this cursed mine.... At least it's given me some insight. I found someone--Bugarota. He has something to do with all of this, I just know it, but I can't interact with many things. So I can't learn much more.

I've seen enough to know what around here might be relevant, though. My friend's Unstable Asmodian Soul Stone, the Specially Crafted Bomb used for delving into the mine, and an odd creature's Deformed Nerve Tissue. Take those, gather the Broken Mind Controller of The Herelym Ghost and bring them to the headquarters. Then, maybe... maybe some of my comrades won't have died in vain.

I had a look at those items. Our ghostly friend is right--everything going on here seems to be connected to Bugarota in some way or another.

Twisting our soldiers like this is horrific.... And to top it off, I have no idea how he's making those explosives.
