Summary:
After making up your mind, you spoke to Lyle, whon you met at the Temporary ST Testing Grounds. Lyle shared her suspicions about ST-IX, Stellin, and the disappearance of her older brother Anuk and many others. She told you that nobody could be trusted, including the military, as Stellin had bought everyone’s silence with bribes, and suggested you collect evidence while pretending to work for Stellin.

While you were resting, you received news that you were promoted. Your first mission was to wipe out the Apmaha tribe that had gone back on their word to Stellin. As expected, you witnessed some suspicious events during your mission. You also encountered Anuk, who seemed to be addicted to ST-IX. He was impossible to reason with. You went about completing your mission for the time being, and stole a confidential document belonging to Stellin when you had the chance.

The document stated that Stellin is aware of the addictive nature of ST-IX but decided to distribute it to the Regatus, Elyos, Asmodians, and Balaur regardless. And that Stellin is after the Balaur Lord's Legacy, and that the remaining substances after extracting the power from them were used to make ST-IX. Based on the confidential document, you exposed the addictive nature of ST-IX and the misdeeds of Stellin Industries to Monan, who refused to acknowledge the company’s wrongdoings and confiscated the document. When Lyle found out, she was furious--but not at all surprised.

Full quest's text:
I knew you’d come.

I came to suspect Stellin Industries of wrongdoing because of my older brother Anuk. Anuk was leading the Regatus Clean-up Operation when he suddenly disappeared, as if into thin air.

The authorities called him a deserter, but I didn’t believe it. So I started to look into it on my own.

Player: “Go on.”

First, the timing of Anuk’s disappearance was right after he received the ST-IX supplies from Stellin.

Second, there were many other troops that disappeared in the same way.

Third, the only thing they had in common was that they used ST-Nine...

Player: “ST-IX....”

Yes. My suspicions against ST-IX uncovered a conspiracy headed by the producer and distributor of ST-Nine, Stellin Industries.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and the fire only grew as I continued on. You remember Temporary ST Testing Grounds, where we met, right?

As you discovered there, ST-IX is highly addictive. Of course, Stellin is pretending everything is okay, while conducting experiments on living beings behind closed doors.

Player: “How did something like this remain a secret for so long?”

Stellin has has endless funds for hush money. They’ve had close connections to the top brass of the military for a long time, and they have no compunctions about bribing them. The military is so rotten now that they’re basically working hand in glove with Stellin. We can’t trust anyone....

Our best option now is to get our hands on evidence that is so incriminating that they won’t be able to weasel their way out.

You’ve been a loyal employee thus far, Daeva. What do you say? Pretend to be working faithfully for them, while you dig up confidential information from within.

Player: “I’m in.”

How was your vacation? I had to pull a lot of strings to get you some time off, so I hope things look a little clearer for you now.

I heard some exciting news while you were away.

I hope it puts you in the right mindset to get back into the swing of things.

Player: “What is it?”

You’re to be promoted to development foreperson at Stellin. That means you’re an executive at headquarters now!

You’re rising through the ranks very fast. You won’t forget me, right? I’ve looked out for you, got you time off.... Ahem. All I’m saying is, when you make it to the top, don’t forget those who helped get you there.

Anyway, you have a new mission. Go meet the employee that was sent to the Apmaha village, Stulakin.

Player: “I’m on it.”

You’re the Daeva everyone’s talking about. Player, right?

We’re both busy, so I’ll cut to the chase. Stellin’s development project is suffering massive setbacks because of the Apmaha here.

The Apmaha still serve Apsu, a Balaur Lord that died a long, long time ago.

Player: “I’m listening.”

The Apmaha formed their village around the altars of their sacred Apsu, and were initially opposed to our development of the area.

We made a relocation deal with them, offering to give them money and help them settle in a new area in exchange for these altars and villages. The Apmaha agreed, we paid them, and started relocation efforts.

Then they turned on us! Not only did they take our money and not hand over the altars, they also stole several crates of ST-Nine! They’re attacking us whenever we get close, and refusing to negotiate further. We’ve facing heavy losses, and our project is falling way behind schedule. Can you help us?

Player: “I suppose.”

Hahh... Incredible. I feel incredible!

It’s mine... All of it... My ST-IX...!

More... a little more... I need more!

Player: “Anuk... are you okay? Come with me.”

You, you...! Are you here for my ST-IX?

Don’t touch me! It’s mine!

Stay back! Any closer and I’ll cut you!

(His abnormal fixation on ST-Nine suggests that he is suffering from a severe addiction.)

(It seems impossible to have a rational conversation with him.)

Player: “Okay, then...!”

How did it go, Daeva?

The Apmaha were pretty hostile, weren’t they?

Player: “I took care of it.”

Wow! You really pulled your weight!

No wonder you got promoted!

Maybe now headquarters will get off my back about delays. I’m going to celebrate!

(Stelkin drops a document while humming excitedly.)

Player: “You dr--you don’t say.”

(It’s the document that Stelkin accidentally dropped.)

(It looks like a confidential report addressed to Stellin Headquarters.)

(You should take it without alerting Stelkin.)

Player: (Pocket Stelkin’s report.)

I heard your mission was a success, yes?

Stellin is very pleased with you. And with me, since I was the one who recommended you!

I always knew I was good with people, heh.

Player: “Can you explain this?”

What... what is this? We talked about this. You had an entire vacation about this!

Think it through, Daeva. We’re in the same boat, understand? And if that boat starts taking on water....

Stellin thinks highly of you. Your future is assured. And so is mine, as long as we’re a team! And as for this... Ahem. I never saw this.

(Monan pockets the report.)

Player: “Typical....”

What? So ST-IX was distributed to the Regatus, Asmodians, Elyos, AND the Apmaha--on purpose?

Why would they want everyone addicted? What are they trying to achieve by plunging everyone into ruin?

Unbelievable... There’s no end to this madness.
