He was a great leader in life, and a good friend. Compassionate, thoughtful, brave almost to the point of rashness....

That's why we were so stunned when he fell in battle. There was nothing we could do for him. Our resources were strained to the breaking point. Nothing was the same after his death. It was almost as though the entire tribe had given up hope....
